Lets keep Hifico professional
« on: July 10, 2022, 10:20:15 PM »
Let me start off by saying that I appreciate all the work Hifico has done in restoring and protecting out rights. I appreciate the updates, organization, and events that they put on.

Having said that, there is something that needs to be addressed. Recently the Instagram and Facebook profile for Hifico  posted a photo of a bunch of policemen sitting with the new chief standing in front of them with a sarcastic comment about the officer's tasers being out and how they must not have holsters. I asked a cop friend of mine and he told me that every day before they go out on patrol they have to take the cartridge out of their taser and do a test fire. They all do it at the same time so they all have their tasers out on the desk ready to go.

The problem I see is that the comment was not only without merit, it was also useless and spiteful. I don't know who is posting under Hifico (I have my suspicions) but I think this is a bad image for the organization. People can post their criticisms on facebook and this forum under their own accounts but I think Hifico should remain professional. Just my two cents.

Maybe when the chief quits violating civil liberties Hifico will call off the hounds.

Police training pays off. They were able to hit Jaylen Walker 60 times.  Gives new meaning to stop the threat and also shows why having a 10 round mag is insufficient.

Because I consider myself a fair person I'd like to offer the following easy tips for HPD to improve it's public image.

1.  Solve crime instead of treating traffic violators like ATM's

2.  Stop playing grab ass with the Tazers, as mentioned above.

3.  Change the motorcycle officers uniform, haircut, and fitness standards so that motorcycle cops no longer look like fat butch lesbians. (high fades/flat tops, gigantic bulbus asses, and shapeless dickies style uniforms)

Hearsay.

How do you know your Cop friend isn't lying to protect his follow officer's image and reputation?

Why do a mass "test fire" for all the tasers coming on-shift all at once?  Are Cops incapable of following procedure without being required to do this as a group?

Doesn't pass the sniff test.  Funny how they don't have their sidearms unloaded and on the table, so they can run a few dummy rounds through them.  You know ... test fire for function check.

What does test firing before patrol have to do with the chief standing in front of them?

Does the chief personally inspect each shift before they go out on patrol?

You got called out on FB because people are tired of  your troll type behavior.  I don't think you're a troll, but others do.  And this isn't the first time it was noticed either. Notice how only your comment was replied to in this manner.  We call this a clue.  You're just mad you got muted for 7 days (shown in the reply post).  Then you have the need to go on their IG page and do the same. IDK if you were muted on IG too, but since your IG comments stopped, I will assume you were muted on there as well.

I know the way your brain works (whataboutism) and am fine with that.  We all have different ways of thinking about topics. But what is a waste of time is after a certain point, the conversation goes in a circle, thus wasting time explaining why 1 chooses their stance on an issue.  This is why I don't chime in as often like before, I don't have the time anymore. But sometimes I do have the time so I will entertain your whataboutism. Mainly so others can see the logical answer.

I don't see an issue with the officer with his hand on the shotgun.  His hand is on it so it doesn't slide off the table while it's resting.  And due to the crowded room, it looks impossible to be able to lay the shotty on a table pointing in a safe direction. The other alternative is to keep the shotgun on his lap with it pointed in the air. But a table is easier.

As for the taser issue, if your "friend" is stating that's how they test them, I ask this. How long does it take to test it that it's left out on the table. This isn't 1 cop doing it, but a bunch of them.  And if the chief walked in mid testing, a responsible chief would say to finish that testing first, then he will speak. This way they can then re-holster the tasers.  Never assume the cartridge was taken out.  Maybe your "friend" can give the SOP for roll call and gear checking.  That would help clarify what your "friend" told you.  Or is the SOP secret and cannot be told, like how the emails to the FBI from HPD about RAPBACK is a secret, thus 95% redacted.

HPD's manuals are online. Like what gear they're allowed to use, what ammo, etc...So a SOP on their roll call isn't a big deal.

Also maybe HIFICO doesn't have the same "friend" who can explain their gear testing SOP. So maybe you should have your "friend" explain it. Help educate those who don't know.

So you think its unprofessional for HIFICO to do what they did.  Well that's your opinion.  I think it's unprofessional for government employees  (all Chiefs) to deny people their 2nd amendment right.  I guess you don't think this is too big of a deal that you haven't started a post about it.  I think it's unprofessional that Ballard and 11 brass showed up in uniform at a senate floor vote to show their support for an anti 2a bill. But since you didn't start a post about it, I guess you're OK with it.  I mean can any other officers show up in uniform to support a bill?  I have posted about both here. HIFICO has posted about both on their social medias.

You don't start too many post, so this must have really hurt your feelings for you to start a post about HIFICO's post.

As long as they do not do a "short arm" inspection.........
But, that old crone from the records dept might have like doing that.

You don't start too many post, so this must have really hurt your feelings for you to start a post about HIFICO's post.

Based on your post, it sounds like he was butt-hurt due to getting kicked off the HIFICO Social Media accounts, so he decided to post his grievances here and calling them "unprofessional."

He seems to hold others to a higher standard than himself, since he had no problem jumping around from FB to IG to 2aHawaii to have his complaint broadcast to everybody.

Another prime example of trying to get attention for himself.  I highly doubt he was trying to help HIFICO avoid getting an "unprofessional" image.  He only comes out of the woodwork to post contrary and argumentative opinions.

If it were not about getting attention, he would use private communications rather than making it a public spectacle.

I don't mind criticizing the chief for his slow response to the SCOTUS case, heck I don't even mind poking fun he is wearing a mask, but the comment about officer's tasers is just childish
