You got called out on FB because people are tired of  your troll type behavior.  I don't think you're a troll, but others do.  And this isn't the first time it was noticed either. Notice how only your comment was replied to in this manner.  We call this a clue.  You're just mad you got muted for 7 days (shown in the reply post).  Then you have the need to go on their IG page and do the same. IDK if you were muted on IG too, but since your IG comments stopped, I will assume you were muted on there as well.

I know the way your brain works (whataboutism) and am fine with that.  We all have different ways of thinking about topics. But what is a waste of time is after a certain point, the conversation goes in a circle, thus wasting time explaining why 1 chooses their stance on an issue.  This is why I don't chime in as often like before, I don't have the time anymore. But sometimes I do have the time so I will entertain your whataboutism. Mainly so others can see the logical answer.

I don't see an issue with the officer with his hand on the shotgun.  His hand is on it so it doesn't slide off the table while it's resting.  And due to the crowded room, it looks impossible to be able to lay the shotty on a table pointing in a safe direction. The other alternative is to keep the shotgun on his lap with it pointed in the air. But a table is easier.

As for the taser issue, if your "friend" is stating that's how they test them, I ask this. How long does it take to test it that it's left out on the table. This isn't 1 cop doing it, but a bunch of them.  And if the chief walked in mid testing, a responsible chief would say to finish that testing first, then he will speak. This way they can then re-holster the tasers.  Never assume the cartridge was taken out.  Maybe your "friend" can give the SOP for roll call and gear checking.  That would help clarify what your "friend" told you.  Or is the SOP secret and cannot be told, like how the emails to the FBI from HPD about RAPBACK is a secret, thus 95% redacted.

HPD's manuals are online. Like what gear they're allowed to use, what ammo, etc...So a SOP on their roll call isn't a big deal.

Also maybe HIFICO doesn't have the same "friend" who can explain their gear testing SOP. So maybe you should have your "friend" explain it. Help educate those who don't know.

So you think its unprofessional for HIFICO to do what they did.  Well that's your opinion.  I think it's unprofessional for government employees  (all Chiefs) to deny people their 2nd amendment right.  I guess you don't think this is too big of a deal that you haven't started a post about it.  I think it's unprofessional that Ballard and 11 brass showed up in uniform at a senate floor vote to show their support for an anti 2a bill. But since you didn't start a post about it, I guess you're OK with it.  I mean can any other officers show up in uniform to support a bill?  I have posted about both here. HIFICO has posted about both on their social medias.

You don't start too many post, so this must have really hurt your feelings for you to start a post about HIFICO's post.

He claimed I was blocked on instagram but I posted again and someone responded. Was not blocked on FB.

I am not sure why pointing out his ignorant comment makes me a troll. What is a troll then, just someone who posts an unpopular opinion or inconvenient fact to a crowd that might not like it? Whoever posted didn't care or want to be corrected, he appeared to make mean comments. I tend not to start posts that duplicate opinions and stances that are already being voiced, it would be redundant and just preaching to the crowd anyway.

It is no secret I have a bias towards cops. My dad was one, I have a few friends who are cops and I like what they do as a profession. I have met a few rude ones but have had more positive experiences than negative ones, even when I was stopped for speeding. Here on 2A there is a range of opinions on them, some hate them, some like them, and everything inbetween. Thats fine, and I think the discussion is quite interested and important to have. I have no problem with sincere critique of the police department but I think that Hifico should be professional about it and this comment was unprofessional. If you think its fine to do so under the Hifico name then we will have to agree to disagree. You criticized me before for not stating an opinion so here is my opinion.

Regarding the procedures I did find the policy on their website and posted it in a previous reply. Could they test it right at the beginning of lineup then put them away? Sure, but for whatever reason they test them at the end of lineup. With the cartridge removed the taser doesn't shoot anything out and the cartridges are big so its easy to see whether it is loaded, not like a bullet in a firearm. Tasers also need to be recharged so they are often left attached to a cable sitting on a table anyway. Considering they get shot with them in the academy I don't see a significant risk to set an unloaded one on the table.

I don't mind criticizing the chief for his slow response to the SCOTUS case, heck I don't even mind poking fun he is wearing a mask, but the comment about officer's tasers is just childish
Instead of calling them "silly and decisive comments", u could have easily just corrected them or explained the why. Like your whataboutism, maybe the poster didnt know the reason the tasers are on the table like that. Intersting how whataboutism gets irritating.

U state u dont mind making fun of the mask, but guess making fun of tasers is where the line is drawn. If anything it should be in reverse as a mask according to doctor green saves lives.

You keep saying whataboutism.

I don't like that taser comment because it is insulting the officers out of a position of ignorance AND because it was done in the name of Hifico. Do you think it is fine for this non-profit organization to behave this way?

Do you think the poster really cared to understand? Another poster did explain to him the process in a non-confrontational way but he didn't care. Apparently he did block my comment, and the other poster's too. Looks like he didn't care about understanding, he just wants to insult. Do we even want to get into the whole censoring opinions thing?

Goggle what a troll is. They even called you out specifically because this wasn't the first time. "This isn't 2ahawaii, go troll elsewhere". So they obviously know how you post whether it be on FB, IG or here. They didn't call you out randomly or on day 1. Sounds like they had enough of your troll type behavior. They didn't call others in previous post trolls or like how they did with you.

Personally, I don't think you're a troll. Like I posted above, I know how your brain works which is why you love whataboutism.  I think you enjoy discussion and by playing both sides, it keeps the topic going on and on. Which is fine on your own social media page. But when it comes to public places, once enough info is presented to show 1 side is right and 1 side is wrong, that's where the debate should end. This is where you lack and why people refer  you as a troll.  I posted this when we were wasting time with another member here. At least your questions make sense compared to his. But again, at a certain point enough questions are asked and the debate is over.

Another issue with the way you make a decision on a topic could be you require way too much evidence to support a side. Logic steps in at a certain point where enough evidence is provided, but you might require a slam dunk type of evidence. Which again is fine because everyone thinks a certain way, we are not all the same. But for me, I will only reply as I have time to. Notice how I stopped posting links that I got my info from when you ask. I don't have the time to google all over again just to make you happy.

It sounds like HIFICO is making fun of how long it takes to function check a taser. Then add in what I posted about the chief walking in mid test, he should wait until it's complete before giving his PR speech. This could cause a distraction to the process.

You think the missing cartridge is easy to see, but we all don't have eyes as sharp as you. So maybe the guy across the room cannot see this.

In the end, you're mad because you got called out and muted.  We call this a clue.

Yes, I think it's OK for them to behave this way. IDK what the posted cared to understand as I never spoke to the poster about it. Maybe the other poster is on the same level as you are (not their first time trying to troll) so they got blocked too. IDK if the other poster was blocked because HIFICO didn't state that they were like how they stated you were muted for 7 days.

Please go ahead an enlighten us about the censoring thing and play both sides of the argument. #whataboutism

They are also the only ones who are winning. So all the previous "professional" orgs/people haven't won. Maybe it takes being what you call unprofessional to win.

The other posted was clearly not trolling and he doesn't post on 2a. He is my friend and he posted because he saw my post. If the poster was being honest then he would have welcomed the explanation but he blocked the comment so clearly he didn't.

If you don't have a problem with that kind of behavior then so be it but I do and I am voicing my opinion. I don't want to see the work get thrown away for someone's online tirades.

Hahahhahaha, you went to the effort to actually look up that word?  I didn't even know it was a real word, nor have I heard it before. I just made it up.  Now this is funny.

So the other guy is your friend? Only friend or coworker as well?

Please tell me how being unprofessional in your perception will cause HIFICO's work to be thrown away.  I mean, are you a judge on the 9th circuit for Young vs. Hawaii and will  disregard the SCOTUS Bruen ruling because you got hurt feelings?  Sounds like a corrupt judge to me. (This is rhetorical, we know you're not a judge on the 9th).

To some, being professional is relying on the courts via time-consuming and costly lawsuits to force the police to do their duty -- following the law and the constitutions.

Posting something that pokes fun at someone, even if it's at the expense of the people who swore and failed to follow the law, is not "unprofessional."

Given the degree of hate and vile accusations hurled at law enforcement this past decade, I highly doubt anyone but a butt-hurt, triggered Libtard would find that picture and comment offensive.

F##k 'em if they can't take a joke!

I think calling HIFICO out on THEIR FB PAGE is a total dick move. Rather than have a private, serious discussion, it's now a public food fight.

It is a word to describe something in debate tactics and you appeared to be misusing it so I wanted to correct it.

I am not going to bring my friend in on this. I am telling you his comment was respectful. You can believe me or not, doesn't really matter since it got deleted there is no way for you to see it yourself.

Would a judge hear about mean FB posts in regard to this case? No probably not though I wouldn't want to give them any ammo. Consider though that it isn't just about convincing judges. Hifico relies at least somewhat on membership (never asked for a financial breakdown), so what happens if people get turned off and stop donating? What happens if they stop looking at updates so they don't come to meetings and protests?

Case in point, most, if not all, of the activism I have participated in here came from finding out about it on 2aHawaii.com. If this place turns toxic and people stop coming and therefore don't learn about activism, Hifico, bill updates, etc.
