Was your PM read?  On FB/IG there is a notification when PM is read.  Oahu is a small island and everybody knows everybody.  Since HIFICO did call you out on your troll type behavior on 2ahawaii, lets assume that maybe they are ignoring you if they did read the message.  From their reply to you, it appears that you didn't get the mute right off the bat, but instead they were tired of your troll type behavior.  And from the replies from another poster, it seems like they have had enough of that poster also. So again, seems like HIFICO goes based on history of the user and not just right off the bat mute/ban/"unprofessional" replies.

They also answer questions that people have who are respectful and post replies in general that are "professional".  So again, refer back to maybe it's you. I keep saying "we call this a clue".  I like this aspect of them, they aren't afraid to call people out when needed.  One could say this ties into the pressure they're putting on lawmakers/Chief.  Andrew showing up daily to check on his CCW app, could be seen as "unprofessional".  So again, I'll take mean tweets and results over nice tweets and no results.

I made contact via 2aHawaii, not on facebook. Didn't see a point of messaging the facebook/instagram accounts since  the guy who clearly didn't like me pointing out his inaccuracies likely wouldn't care if I sent him a PM. My friend was not a poster on Hifico's page, there would be no history of some alleged "troll" behavior for him. The exchange was only a few replies, maybe 4 by me and 3 by him, we didn't go 3 pages deep. He appeared to simply not like I called him out on his behavior.

I don't see where this conversation will go from here though, I don't think I will convince you the behavior was undesirable.

It is a word to describe something in debate tactics and you appeared to be misusing it so I wanted to correct it.

I am not going to bring my friend in on this. I am telling you his comment was respectful. You can believe me or not, doesn't really matter since it got deleted there is no way for you to see it yourself. "

Also HIFICO has no username on here.  There may be directors who are here, so is if this is what you meant then I understand.  So it would be better to msg them direct as an org's official page.

Heard London was down at HPD today giving them hell again regarding his CCW permit. Atta Boy.  :shaka:
(And wearing his taser.)
Then:
A person claimed he called HPD with questions about applying for a concealed carry permit and the HPD person told him he had to bring his gun in to apply. (Could be misunderstanding regarding needing serial number.)
Person brought in their firearm in to apply for a carry permit and had a HPD personnel at the window tell the person they couldn’t bring the firearm in but could leave it in their car.
London caught that and had a discussion with the window. (Illegal. Can’t leave your firearm in the car. Place to keep. Still transporting to HPD even though HPD tells you leave it in the car ? )

Hear say but I know the person who saw it.

HPD is messed up.

Go HIFICO !

P.S. would love to hear London’s story.

To be honest, there's nothing saying you have to be with your firearm as long as it's in one of the specific places to keep in the statutes.

Think about the range.  I carry my pistols to the pistol range, then carry my rifles to the rifle range.  Whichever isn't being used is in the vehicle unattended.

Same pretty much holds true for guns at your home or place of sojourn.  If you're going to dinner or what have you, you're allowed to leave the gun in your room/home unattended.

So, I can see the officer's point of view.  In your hand or in your car, it's at the police station and legal to "keep" there.

"Keep" is not synonymous with "Bear" or "Possess."  I think of "keep" as "store".  (That would make "Storekeeper" rather redundant, huh?)

Leave guns in car unattended ?
O.K.  (Read stoopid. At range where crim’s know there’s guns. Possibly casing/watching you as you load your unattended guns into the car and leave for the next range.)
And how do you know he wasn’t parked on the street ?

Can’t take gun into HPD firearms division ?
More stoopid.

Keep up the good work HIFICO!

wasn't there a guy that left his shotgun in the car at Ala Moana. The shotgun was stolen from his vehicle. He reported it to HPD and they arrested him for place to keep.

The mall is not one of the specified "places to keep."  The police station is.

Is the station and parking lot the same for places to keep? The cop didnt ask where he parked in anyway. We parked across the street when we went to HPD last. Many guys park on the street in front the station or at the Fasi lot a block away.

Ive seen guys get snapped at cause they brought their cased gun into the application side. Guess this firearm division area is not a place to keep.

I witnessed a cop say "cause theres no bullet proof glass on this side". Guess for the registration side, cops protected behind the bullet proof glass, and screw everyone else whos waiting in line.

Cops are funny that way.  Something must affect their brain once they put on their pretty uniforms and shiny badges and their tan taran guns.

And they like make big body.  Even though they look like light bulbs.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Not sure if this is WAY WAY WAY off target but do you mean like "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra"?

Sorry, I meant my friend was not a regular poster on the Facebook page for Hifico, he didn't have a history of posting so no history that could be considered a record of trolling.
