I just had a 2 1/2 hour meeting with my dentist last week. There wasnt much in the way of conversation other than "You doing ok still?"

My hygienist talks to me and expects an answer. She talks about fantasy football and who I'm drafting or when I'm going Vegas again.

The scary part is when you realize they don't actually care if you are a person or not, they just want to talk to SOMETHING to keep themselves from suddenly going ballistic from all the stress...

Well there was the initial pleasantries such as how's it going, your bite good from last time etc. This was more of a business appointment this time. Also this is my third time at this office. My last dentist was a nice guy and plesant to converse with but was leaving me a little lacking in what needed to get done. I'm sure as time progresses there will be more chit chat.
Besides I dont really give a rip about professional sports, was never my thing. It is more fun and interesting to play them than watch. I'm sure conversational topics will emerge at some later time.

I do wonder how many people posting replies understand the origins of this post LOL

I didn't post anything in this thread but I kind of understood how it originated.  Toward the ending I kind of got a bit lost.

Not sure how tourettes ended up in the conversations.

But that's ok.  Must be a private thing only amongst the elite of the elite. ;D

everytime I see a dental tool out of its pocket - I get concerned about dental safety. Dentists should be professional - like chiropractors.

They work good wrapped in patches.

The origin of this thread is hilarious from the beginning. Off the rails now but what the hell.

every dental tool should be in an appropriate holster.  Whether it be appendix, IWB or OWB.

And register, and don't forget background checks. Have to red flag those with assault tools!
