Old guys.

Man reported by nurse to security for open carrying what was thought to be a handgun. Not waving it or pointing it at anyone. Security called HPD. 20 units showed up and kaiser on lockdown. It was found to be by a member and a taser.

Kaiser stated they have a no weapons policy. Man i cooperating with hpd. I hope he tells them jack shit, cause he broke no law. Im sure they gonna ask where he bought it.

Just like Ulvade.  All show.  No go.  Did one of them wipe his hands with sanitizer?  Did they parade around with their AR's, Body Armor, and Ballistic Helmets?

No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

One legal situation and they are already considering MORE laws. Never mind the real criminals. Someone was carrying LEGALLY and because someone called to "be safe" - legislators like Karl Rhoads wants more restrictions on the LAW ABIDING citizen.

“Schools, I think it’s a really bad idea, the fewer firearms, fewer electric guns, we have at school,” said Sen. Karl Rhoads, (D) Nuuanu, Palama, Iwilei, Chinatown. “Generally, places that — that have security there already. So like a football stadium, I don’t think it makes any sense to allow any kind of weapon in there.”
Hawaii’s law on using deadly force

Sen. Rhoads said on the state level, there aren’t any restrictions on where stun guns can be carried yet. Private facilities like hospitals can make their own rules.

A bill that would’ve banned bringing the device to public schools, courts, state buildings, and airports died during the last legislative session. Lawmakers stated, it’ll likely get reintroduced.

“The Supreme Court decision basically says that we can put reasonable restrictions on where you carry your gun, not just your electric gun, but your gun in general,” Rhoads said.

So, nobody was threatened, tased or otherwise harmed, but now we need a new law because someone reported a legal act to the police who then overreacted?

Hospitals already employee security personnel.  Why did those people decide to call the Cops instead of approaching the "subject?"  The whole lockdown could have been avoided if someone being paid to provide security could do more than play secretary and make a 911 call.

The person with the taser broke no laws, committed no act of violence, and was legally carrying a less-than-lethal weapon.  Explain how restricting tasers from hospitals or anywhere else increases public safety.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
