So long as he knew no one else is in the car…Take out the threat.
People don’t realize this about pulling a firearm. Take out the threat.

Life threatening situation.  Perp shot Xteen times. I don’t care as long as it was justified and he/she was stopped.
Clint Smith once said if your life’s in danger, shoot ‘em, then shoot ‘em, if not stopped, then shoot ‘em again.
