So . . . just got off the phone with PV.  Their daily limit per order per day is 50 pounds.  They charge $19.95 for hazmat, plus freight plus tax.  Freight forwarder then tacks on their fees.

But, only Rhed has messaged me so far and we do not have enough for 50 pounds - probably because most of the 8-pound jugs of rifle powder is unavailable.

Let me check in the next day or so. See if I am interested or can find folks interested in what PV has in stock.

Sup my bradda I get  choke RL 26 I think I have 560 as well. I know I have 555  which should do well in the creed.

I'll check on da 560 n lyk
Wow!  You have quite a diverse stock!

Thank you, as always, for looking out for us newish shooters.  I have plenty of powder to keep me busy for a while.  Just looking down the road a bit and if we can get a powder pipeline going, what I am keeping an eye out for.

In fact, I'll be going through my powder bin and seeing what I can offer up to folks.  I have a number of 1lb containers that I wanted to try, mostly for .308.  However, now I am now looking to thin some of those random 1lb containers of powders.

Just checked PV powders and everything I'm interested in is out of stock.

One potential is Titegroup for a group buy, but only 1# containers in stock.  I have lots of Titegroup, but I am pretty sure we could find folks who are interested.  Or at least I would be willing to order/pay if needed to make the order feasible.

See portal to portal quote I received yesterday.  Probably only the $19.95 hazmat fee (paperwork) and tax will be tacked on by PV.   This is a ballpark quote, not exact.

I found it!  From the Code of Federal Regulations, CFR, Title 49, Subtitle B, Chapter 1, Subchapter C, Part 173.171 Smokeless powder for small arms.

The below is directly from their website: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-49/subtitle-B/chapter-I/subchapter-C/part-173

§ 173.171 Smokeless powder for small arms.

Smokeless powder for small arms which has been classed in Division 1.3 or Division 1.4 may be reclassed in Division 4.1, for domestic transportation by motor vehicle, rail car, vessel, or cargo-only aircraft, subject to the following conditions:

(a) Powders that have been approved as Division 1.3C or Division 1.4C may be reclassed to Division 4.1 in accordance with §§ 173.56 and 173.58 of this part.

(b) The total quantity of smokeless powder may not exceed 45.4 kg (100 pounds) net mass in:

(1) One transport vehicle or cargo-only aircraft; or

(2) One freight container on a vessel, not to exceed four freight containers per vessel.

(c) Only combination packagings with inner packagings not exceeding 3.6 kg (8 pounds) net mass are authorized. Inner packagings must be arranged and protected so as to prevent simultaneous ignition of the contents. The complete package must be of the same type which has been examined as required in § 173.56 of this part.

(d) Inside packages that have been examined and approved by the Associate Administrator may be packaged in UN 4G fiberboard boxes meeting the Packing Group I performance level, provided all inside containers are packed to prevent shifting and the net weight of smokeless powder in any one box does not exceed 7.3 kg (16 pounds).

But, not sure if it's worth a follow up at this time as we cannot even get to 50 pounds although it is good to know that we can ship 100 pounds.
I am figuring that the quote from Jet Trucking is higher that Aloha Freight Forwarders since it is 16 more pounds of gun powder (32% more), includes trucking from Kansas to California, and I asked them to consolidate multiple Powder Valley orders to maximize the shipment(s).  So, the quote from jet Trucking is in-line with AFF deducting the above.  Extrapolating the 66 pound shipment comes to around $821 for 100 pounds plus the PV fees of $19.95 for paperwork and sales taxes.

wirecounter - thank you VERY much for all your efforts!  Yeah, looks like availability needs a little more time to recover.  I am still down for group buy.  If you get close, let me know and I probably can find something that I can "contribute" to the order.

Thanks!  I am in "ok" shape for 6.5 cm.  I have a decent amount of H4350 and some RL16.  Trying not to diversify too much, otherwise more testing.  Trying is the key word.   However, if needed for group buy, I'd be tempted to try. :D

Yea if velocity is what you after, specifically for long range, Superformance. Look at the other powders in this data. They tap out on max pressure way before Superform. Not even max yet.

I've shot Superformance in .223 Rem and it was hot.  I have some Hornady factory loads with Superformance (at least I believe).  I looked at the velocities on the box and they were pretty hot.  I'm not really looking for a specific zone.  With what I've seen out of H4350 and my 26" barrel, I'm looking to be "in the zone".

Oi, correction.  I meant the Superformance line for Hornady.  Just read closer, it's a 'special blend of powders'. . .

I don't load for .223 Rem.  At least not yet.
