SEC had powder drops. Mostly Hodgon.. Though, none of them hit the shelves as they were only going through reserve list. And with 5 1#er’s limit (no 8#). I put my name on several powders pre-pendemic time. One of them came in (Varget) and just grabbed the 5 limit. Campared to PV for Varget, and with extra cost for SEC to ship now, I think it was worth the price. WGS had a powder drop as well. Hodgon, Alliant, and some others. Though, I’m still in for a group buy when ready..

Powder Valley flat rate freight / hazmat fee to Hawaii went up to $450.00. This includes Fedex to Compton and ocean freight to Oahu,100 pounds. Too bad very little rifle powders.

For example, they have H335 in stock, eight pound keg would be $33.63 / pound landed on Oahu if my math is correct.

That’s correct.. individual pounders of H335 would be 38$. Cheaper to go 8 pounders. So a group buy is the only way to get the 8 pounders. I don’t think our LGS will bring them in anymore. As I was told they were harder to get. So they say..

We would still be a lot cheaper to go group buy instead of going through LGS. Though other things to consider is the risk of pallet getting lost or seize by ATF. Or commitment issues.

Just checked Powder Valley. Looks like Hodgdon powders went up three to four dollars a pound in the last week.

I saw that.   Pretty much every powder went up in price (10% - 20%).
