Rules for thee but not for me
« on: August 12, 2022, 06:41:47 AM »
July 6, 2016:  Trump tweeted, "Crooked Hillary Clinton and her team 'were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.' Not fit!"

Aug. 16, 2016: At a campaign event in West Bend, Wisconsin, Trump said, "We've seen a former secretary of state lie to Congress about her illegal email scheme, risk innocent American lives and bring dishonor onto our government, great, great dishonor."

"In my administration, I'm going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information," he went on.

Aug. 18, 2016: At a campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina, Trump said, "On political corruption, we are going to restore honor to our government. In my administration, I'm going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law."

Sept. 7, 2016:  At a campaign event in Philadelphia, Trump said, "One of the first things we must do is to enforce all classification rules and to enforce all laws relating to the handling of classified information."

Ever wonder if someone in the WH with severe TDS (and we know many of them existed while he was President) may have placed classified information -- even having to do with nuclear programs -- in all the many boxes of papers that were moved to Trump's home?

The Democrats tried impeaching him in 2 trials and again after he was a lame duck president -- none of which contained any real evidence to support their claims.  I would not put it past them to set him up like this.

The timing of the raid is awfully suspicious.  Trump was hinting he was going to make a 2024 announcement a week before.  Also, much of DC is on break since Congress is not in session.  Trump and his lawyers were already cooperating with FBI subpoenas.  There was no reason to raid anything rather than issue another subpoena.

It's as if they KNOW FOR A FACT the material they are searching for exists.  Could it be because they or someone working against Trump put it there?

Again, the timing stinks of another witch hunt, just like the impeachments.

The title of this thread can be applied to any party, any politician.  No one particular person stands out as the epitome of corruption.  At one time or another all of them has been guilty of "Rules for thee but not for me".

Right now everyone is piling on Trump.  How they can cast the first stone is beyond me......lol!

I am not into politics at all.
But I  do observe what goes on all around me.
I see a flailing Democrat political party trying desperately to hang on to power.
I see democrats making National and local strategic moves to satiate the general public and take credit for anything that might be good.
I see blatant smear tactics to make conservative-minded people appear evil or crazy.

My former boss was a U.S. congressman but not a Democrat.
He was a victim of outrageous smear tactics.

Remember that the opposite of "right" is not always "left".
Often times the opposite of "right" is "WRONG"

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/rashida-tlaib-pocketed-100000-rental-income-pandemic-despite-pushing-cancel-rent

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has pocketed up to $100,000 in rental income during the pandemic despite pushing to cancel rent, according to disclosure forms reviewed by Fox News Digital.

Tlaib filed her latest annual financial disclosure report Thursday, which reveals she collected between $15,001 and $50,000 in rental income from a Detroit property in 2021. The Michigan Democrat reported the same rental income for 2020 last August, meaning she now made between $30,000 and $100,000 from rent payments during the pandemic.

Tlaib, however, collected the rent checks despite co-sponsoring a bill alongside other "Squad" members that sought to cancel rent during the pandemic.

https://www.propublica.org/article/oceanfront-property-tied-to-obama-granted-exemption-from-hawaiis-environmental-laws

Officials in Honolulu have granted the developers of a luxury, oceanfront estate tied to Barack Obama a major exemption from environmental laws designed to protect Hawaii’s beaches.

The shoreline permit, issued by Honolulu’s Department of Planning and Permitting on Monday, clears the way for the controversial multimillion-dollar renovation of a century-old seawall in the heavily Native Hawaiian community of Waimanalo.

Under state and county laws, such projects are typically banned. Scientists and environmental experts say seawalls are the primary cause of beach loss throughout the state, and officials expect older ones to fall into obsolescence.

The Hawai’i Department of Land and Natural Resources is giving a North Shore homeowner more time to fight a $92,000 fine.

In April, Todd Dunphy racked up violations when he used an excavator to build a sand berm behind his Rocky Point house without first getting permits, said officials.

Dunphy said he had little choice but to take matters into his own hands, in order to protect his and his neighbors’ homes.

Just three months prior, a neighboring home fell over an eroded sand bank.

Isn't it? It's freaking awesome. He committed crimes that carry a 20 year prison sentence. He can die in prison. The first president ever to be convicted and die in prison.

I'm not a politician. Unlike some here, I believe that we should prosecute everyone that breaks our laws and places citizens in danger.

So how do you feel about the current administration?  Might as well start there also. "I believe that we should prosecute EVERYONE that breaks our laws and places citizens in danger".

Hoo Boy, you wanna take the high road you can't just set your sights on one individual.

For what crime?

Based on what evidence?
