BI is big, but a small population.
Lots of churches and a small town atmosphere.
It doesn't surprise me that guys working in the prosecutors office
were mentoring Boy scouts.
Scouting is very big here.
Our local Honokaa scouts are sponsored by the Hongwanji temple.
I guess the Catholics got out of that business here.
Church is right next to the Temple, so all the kids are well served.
Small town.
The only question I have is what is a very pricey semi auto AK style rifle doing at a boy scout camp?
That is not what you normally use to teach a kid how to shoot.
If only on the basis of the cost of ammo.
Probably it is the fact that there is a range, the cops won't fuk with you, and adults can blast away.
There are no public rifle ranges on the BI.
