Picked up permit around 9:30. About 6 waiting or filling out forms, but was able to go right up to counter. It took longer to park since I had to wait while a couple effectively blocked 3 stalls in the parking lot...

10:00 AM no line.

saw on KITV news that the one time fee will be less, about $12

Went in for our long gun permits last week and we were "fingered and photo'd" again. 
Don't recall that happening last time. 

   Oh yes, arrived arrived around 10:00 am Tuesday the 20th.to be first in line with one guy at the window.
He was arguing about how he should be able to get his permit. 
After arguing  for 15 minutes, there were now 5 guys behind me when some A-hole  walks through the door and right up to the glass. 

   All of us in line were waiting for him to get reemed, but Noooooooooo.
He started making his case about why was there was some confusion on his permit.
Now their both at the window stating their cases while the rest of us in line are like   

   This went on for another 15 minutes or so until HPD told them both to get their $hit together and come back.
I was outa there 10 minutes after that.

Firearms Division open this coming Monday (3 October)? Need to get a permit, but when I got the pertinent info at the shop, the helpful employee said "Good luck at HPD Tuesday...  Gun show this weekend."  Got me thinking, why not Monday?

HPD will be open on 10/10. Columbus Day is not a Holiday.

10:07 - Out with Long Gun Permit
1 in line, 1 coming up stairs

In at 10:25, out 10:40.
4 underground parking, 1 in front.
3 infront of us in line, 3 behind
Our long gun permits were brought out to us before we ever got to window !
AWESOME SERVICE ! 

In at 1pm, I was seventh in line.  Out at 1:55pm.

I must have caught the Gun Show purchase (I thought if I waited to Wed, it would not be so bad, I guess others thought the same way).
In at 12:15, 10 in front.  Out 1:04, 10 still in line.
Also noticed that the have set up a computer for firearm registration by the Police report window, first bay.  They did a few distribution from that terminal while I was in line, not needed to go back into the room or called a guy who was waiting in the room.
