I was there at 1100. Parking was a nightmare. Over a dozen guys in front of me. Over an hour to pickup permit. Nobody came out to ask if anyone there to pickup only. Yup was warm today

Passed by today, there was no parking and when I went past the front I saw that line to the door!  I'll try again tomorrow..

Man alive...will they be open on Veteran's Day?

Picked up permit yesterday, went to SEC grabbed gun, and boss calls so I rushed home to store gun and back to work. Didn't finish in time to reverse all that and register gun so I did an online last night. HPD says 48hrs to bring gun back...damn I'm worried 

I'm just gonna go stand in line for however long and tell boss..."I uh...I uh...got a bad case of doodoo splatters and it hurts"

i thought i'd beat the crowd, got there at 8:30.  wrong.  i thought since hillary didn't get elected, no crowds.  wrong.

what's going on?

at 8:30, had about a dozen inside the double doors, and about another 8 outside the double doors.

gotta admit, the officers processed quite efficiently, i was there to apply for permit.  all told, about hour-and-a-half.  not too bad, considering.

as i was leaving, about 10am, there was no longer a line outside the double doors.

Today was better, when I got in the line had 4 guys ahead of me and about 3 guys in the room filling out permit apps. Even had a car pull out and leave me stall right as I pulled in - so far so good.

Arrived about 12:15 and walked out 12:45 roughly. Only about 28 minutes on the meter...

AC was working today too.

Sat down to wait my turn for reg papers, noticed a girl sitting across me give me a smile too  I just looked away as I'm married - nice to know I still got it 

Got the 'honor election day' purchase permit done today, saw stangzilla , met a new handgun owner told him about 2AHawaii.com  , saw another dude I know..  good day.   Was a little busy but didn't take too long.

Anybody know what the line is like right now at HPD?

Got there @7am. 2nd in line.  When the doors opened there was 11 behind me.  Picked up permit,  left at 7:50. Went back at 11:35 to register hand gun and lower,  line was to the to the double doors.  I was done by 12.20,  line was still to the double doors.

I got there about 2:15 to register, I turned the light out, shut the door and left at three.

Got there about 8, car's stacked up for parking.  I finally park on King street and walk over to see a line 3/4 to the door, after parking/waiting took me about an hour.

FYI.  HPD firearms section is closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, and will be open on Friday.

This week is a bit busier due to the RHSC liquidation sales.

Next week may be busier due to the Friends of the NRA sales.

I'm guessing OGC and others may have Black Friday sales that make next week problematic also.

Wasn't too bad today. Spent about 30 minutes waiting behind 4 people.
