Forty minutes today for a C&R handgun. One guy ahead of me. Probably most of the time for a NICS check, or what ever they use.
Can't say enough about how customer friendly, helpful and professional Officer Akamu and his partner were today.
A great experience, given that we have to do it. ;)
I hope they monitor this site. I have a mind to send a note to the chief.

Put 8 minutes in meter
Picked up permit to acquire
Might have been 4 or 5 minutes left on meter when I pulled out

In line at 9:40 to register handgun
3 people in front of me
Found a meter with 52 minutes on it, so I got a lot of time

Line is long to the door. They won't let me cut in line to just pickup permit. All 7 people in front of me with multiple guns registering.

** Picked up 3 pistol permits. 

Arrived at 1:00, out at 2:00.

About 8 people waiting outside the firearm section doorway.

Traffic was bad..  OGC wasn't busy at all, so pickup only took 20 minutes in store. Total round trip between OGC and back to HPD:  almost 1 1/2 hours.

** Registered 3 pistols. 

Arrived at 3:15, out at 3:55.

Only 3 people waiting outside the firearm section doorway.

I was asked to turn off the light in the little registration room and shut the door tight as I left...   :sleeping:

Total waste of an afternoon for no good reason, but it's the price we are forced to pay here!
