In and out today in 30 mins. Fyi from my last post make sure you always bring your passport if born out of state even if you had a permit already. My mistake.

i went back a few pages and didn't notice your last post to you have the date or post number? Passport you say for real? Since when is this a requirement? What if you are born from out of state and you don't possess a passport? I know that the permit form has a blank for passport or naturalization no., when have you needed to physically bring in your passport? I can see if you are using it as your form of ID then by all means bring it but you only need to provide the number of you have a passport. I am flown here not grown here and in as long as I have been here the better part of two decades I have never been asked for my passport nor have I brought it to HPD firearms section for any transaction.

For those born outside the US HPD says you have to bring your passport as proof of US citizenship.  That might be the case here.

In at about 1345 out 1405 to register a new rifle no passport needed. Had two folks in the chairs waiting when I arrived and one gentleman when I left. Officers Lloyd and Chu are models of procedural efficiency and deserve a raise.

In and out pretty quick this morning, about 20 min total time for an out of state registration. Got there around 1030, about 4 folks in front of me, a handful trickled in after me.  Smooth process as always!

Got there about 10:30 and 10 people in line. Left at 11:15 with still about 10 people in line.

Officers kept it moving though by passing out permits to those in line just to pick up permits. Kudos to those guys.
Some people had to wait for registrations to be typed up because so many people registering.

Was there at 230 and no line. In and out in 10 min.

Lately its been pretty good, the 2 times I went there I was out within the hour, both time lunch time.

No line right now. I feel like they stole my quarters.... put in 1 hr of quarters.  And only used 5 min...

I was there a couple of weeks ago and they still have the notice posted stating that they close the doors at 3pm.

The hpd site says there are a "few" parking stalls in the hpd public parking under the station, the one u enter from hotel street (backside of alapai bus barn). How many is few? Lol

And anyone ever have trouble parking in the metered covered municipal parking directly across from board of water supply off beretania?

Even if it's full you can wait like 4 minutes for someone come down and leave.

Total time to register my rifle today: 23 mins from the time I got in the elevator from the basement parking garage. There were four metered stalls open in mid-afternoon.  Only couple guys were ahead of me in line. Big difference from early 2013.

Went in today to help the gf register new purchase. Got lucky had a parking stall with 1r and 44mins on the timer. Then was fourth in line. Went by pretty quick. Was kinda tripping out that this military guy brang in a bunch of pistols to register in a shoe box and the cops didnt say anything about it.
