I should have gone at 9:30.  Got there at about 1:40, eight in line (one permit pickup) with 3 in the room. Done at about 2:40, with about 6 or 8 still in line.

Officer Chu was amazing yet again, helping to clear out the line and get those registrations done as quickly as possible.

Officer Del Prado @ window with new guy.

New guy is a major dick who was power tripping.

Paperwork submission went pretty quickly. Online forms make the process so much faster.

Wish there was a way to leave positive feedback for the guys that do a good job so they don't her lumped in with the shit guys, like the new guy.

being able to leave positive feedback for HPD officers who are favorable to gun owners might have unintended consequences, given the political environment, and how that's viewed by higher-ups in the administration.  just my $0.02.

I never said favorable to gun owners; I said do a good job, as in they engage in their occupation with professionalism and tact, emulating how a good HPD officer should be acting towards and engaging the public in general.

Im still not using the online system, Im not convinced its legal, The AG has said they approved the online form but cant say who did it or when and cant tell me how one county using a different form makes it uniform throughout the state.

*sorry to get slightly off topic)

It's not uniform though out the state. On the big Island it's a page or so of paperwork oahu it's about 6 pages. The permit on the big Island is printed and has a large detailed  photo. The big Island does not have uniformed police officers involved. If I believe correctly they are from records. Oahu has uniformed police officers. Big Island has many locations with Hilo being the main (kona close 2nd) the rest small satellite offices with limited registration time.

10:40.
10 people in line. Several 1st timers. A couple pickups and the rest registrations.
Officer Anderson came out after more people came in and helped with pickups and first timers

About 35 minutes total.  Could have been worse
