No special division today, so needed to go to the regular line.
Arrived at 9, 4 in line, doing long gun renewal. Had the online form completed but not signed. Done at 9:25, back in two weeks. 6 in line.

This hasn't been updated in a while. Went in today and there are now 2 separate offices. The regular one is for when you bring your firearm in only.  Across the hall is where you go to apply or pick up permits, fingerprints, and rapback.  I was there around 1345. There were a few people, but everything went smooth and fast.

Line out the door

Update:

Line was out the door so the ladies came outside and asked who is here just for permit pick up.  About 8 people raised their hand.  So they took their drivers license and gave them their permits.  This reduced the line by half.

Then had 3 military guys before me and 1 had some issues so I guess all 3 had the same type of paperwork because all 3 left swearing on the way out.

So after all of that, wait time was about 15 mins, but total elapsed time 1 hour.

I was there today and left because of the line.  What's the purpose of the 2 seperate offices when they mostly have only 1 open??

I think I saw you there today when you left the line. Bummer that the other room was closed for special duty. I met changemyoil today. It's always great to meet other forum members.

Special Duty side is closed for firearms, the line is out the door to the main entrance.

They opened the special duty side only for permit pick up.

Approximately 1hr 45min to apply for a permit. Leaving the line was to the double doors but no longer outside.

Special duty side for "permit pickups" closed like always.

Just FYI...The snack shop side  (permitting side) has a sign posted that it is closed for all firearms transactions between 7/11-7/14.

2 at window and 3 in line on the registration side.

Went today.  Other side is closed, I didn't catch the closure dates, sorry.  Line itself wasn't that long, 3 in front of me for the main line, but took 45 minutes to register 1 rifle, which is ridiculous.

Whenever the other side is closed, it always takes longer.   Cause you have the 1 main line, then you have the second line of people that is partially done and filling out paperwork, getting fingerprinted, asking all sorts of registration questions, etc.  Sometimes I think they close the other side just to make it harder for people to register firearms.  Because all the workers on the other side get piled onto the right side whenever they close it, so it's obviously not a manpower issue.

You should try going at 2:55 and if there's a line.  You get in and out in 15-20 mins.  They want to go home.  2 people come outside and help process the paperwork.  So it's definitely not a "man power" issue.

I had the day off. Got there 1:20pm and the permit side was closed. Had to go to registration side and maybe 8 people in front of me, 2 in the room and another 2 waiting for their registration paperwork.

They were trying to expedite it by giving out forms in line and asking if anyone was picking up permits. It helped a little.

I didn't wait too long for fingerprinting. I think I was done around 2:30pm.
