I parked my bike in the unmarked no meter stall this morning. The meter maids saw me and I greeted them. Came back an hour later and saw a ticket on my bike. WTF? They didn’t have the courtesy to tell me before I walked away.

I had the same citation before. I wrote a letter and it got dismissed. Hopefully it will have the same outcome.

What do you write on the lettet?  That you was waiting in line at hpd and don't know how long take? I ran into that situation before and would be irritated if I got a ticket cause I didn't anticipate waiting in line for much longer than expected

Is a stall that's unmarked really a stall?   ???

I didn't check the time, but I think I was upstairs around 1020. Permit side was fairly quick. Registration side had 2 applicants inside, 3 or 4 in line, and another 3 waiting on paperwork.

Parking stall was not crossed out, not marked, and not metered. This was during Sandy Hook gun scare, and HPD also had fire alarm, so I think I was there for 4 hours.

I hope so. There's lines on the ground like all the other stalls, just no number or meter. I wonder if the van on the stall next to me also got ticketed for parking over the lines.

Went to register a gun after morning rush hour.  Five people in line ahead of me.  Not bad for a Friday after the gun show. Two fell out of line when they realized that  permit pickup was in the office on the other side of the lobby.
by the snack shop. Can't blame them. Last time I went to get a permit there, the cop was annoyed because I didn't see the tiny sign that said pickups on that particular day  were at the main Firearms Unit counter.  Today it took 22 minutes from the time I got in line until I walked out, registration pau. Couple new guys behind the window since last time I was there, six months ago. Efficient enough.  :shaka:

5 people in front of me, outside the building. I think I’m with the gun show crowd.

Finished and out the door 12:45pm.

Registering no one in line no one in the room. Both sides are open PTA applications at the Special Duty section.

In and out in 30 min that’s what I get for maxing the parking meter.

If only HPD had a webpage with information like that ...    :geekdanc:

I got to HPD at 8am this morning and was number 5 in line. Took me about an hour and a half to get all completed. Prior to walking out, one of the officers advised me that: "Hawaii doesn't have concealed carry". I advised that I carry under LEOSA. He said:  "Well it's on you".  When I was leaving, the line was out the door. Glad I got there early.
