I drove by there this morning around 6 am and noticed at least 10 people waiting near the entry to the lobby area leading to the firearms unit.  Maybe not all of them waiting to get into the line for the firearms unit, but there were a bunch of people waiting at 6 am!

Don't worry, by the time you get to the door, they'll close it on you.

Just a heads up about out of state transfers.  Go early.

Even if you make it inside the double doors by 3:30 before they close the doors, they will turn you away.  2 people in front of me waited 2 hours and were turned away.  They were near the fingerprint station when they made the announcement.

Hope you brought a good book or a good movie.  I watched a whole movie in line yesterday.  Made the line much more bearable.

Just shy of 3 hours and I'm done!  I saw a friend who works for HPD and she said that today's line was a short line!?!  But at least the people in line are all really nice and good fun to talk story too. :shaka:

Got there at 1000.  Line already past the metal detectors.  Left at 1300 - 3 hrs.  News crew was filming the line around Noon - not sure on the channel - I think KHON.

Just saw the firearm registration line on channel 2 news!  The line is getting out of hand!  Glad I stocked up on a lot of firearms and ammo before this frenzy started!
