out by 8:40... not bad.
a uniformed officer came out and let everyone fill out the paperwork before hand. he also took i.d.'s from people just picking up permits.

we should be able to fill out the paperwork early all the time. like online or at the store. just saying

Sounds good that they're trying to improve the service.

It would be great if they continued this after the rush passes as well, perhaps a new standard was set for them.

People registering got to fill out the paper work ahead of time, if you're applying you still had to wait to fill them out.

went this afternoon at 1215 got out by 245,  not too bad all things considered.  Met some good people while waiting.

Aurite!  I may actually be able to go down to YG and pick up my AK they've been holding for me since December.

Arrived 3:30, 10 ahead of me nobody behind when they locked the doors at 3:45.  They let one more squeak in but I was last to turn in paperwork.  No problemo, just like it's always been :)  I think the giant rush has subsided, especially since there's not much left to buy as is.

Been a long time since there.  Nice addition of some folding camp chairs in the waiting area now.

I was there on Tuesday, January 8th. Got there at 0530 and was about 25th in line. I was just picking up and they came through the line around 0800 taking IDs for pickups and I was out of there by 0820. After picking up my rifle I went back in line about 1100, with about 17 people in front of me and took 3 1/2 hours to register.

Yes today was a good day at HPD. I was able to 1) pick up my handgun permit, 2) come back and register the handgun and a long gun. Total time in line ... 3 hours. That is adding both times being in line. With going to the gunshop and picking up the handgun, my day started @ 6 (got to HPD around 7:20) and I was headed home by 1.  I gotta say the officers were doing what the could to help, one guy was going through the line getting the permits out, when there was not anyone picking up, he would go through the line with the paper work to register. Definite   :shaka: to the officers in the office to get everyone served. Now to get our politicians to do the same :(

I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.
