Drove by there at around 6:40 this morning and there was already a line that was past the end of the building, going towards the elevator.  There were also a bunch of people still sitting around the area in front of the double doors to the lobby area.  If I had to guess, there had to have been more than 50 people waiting.  Seems like the lull from yesterday encouraged those who were waiting to go back out to do their business with the firearms unit.

My experience is that Mondays and Fridays are the worst.

Almost same exact experience as kjcoug. Arrived at PD a little after 9am. Line was up to main entrance. Took 20 minutes to pick up handgun permits, drove to Kailua, picked up new pistol, back before half-past 11, pau at 1:50. Line was a little longer second time, stretched past front entrance. 2hrs. 40min total in-line time

Wow, I don't see how that's possible. I was out the door at 1:50, the line stretched way beyond the doors, and a guy behind me was registering 3 long guns and 15 hand guns. I really felt sorry for the folks behind him.

I drove by HPD about 1:30ish and the line was to the metal detector.  The good news at least in the line wasn't a solid line like past few weeks.

Went this morning...Got in line about 8:45 and the line was at end of the building (parking elevator side). Got out at 10:15. Not bad i guess. Got to talk story to good people waiting next to me as we saved each others spot to go  feed the meter or restroom break. :thumbsup:

Drove by at around 5:40 am this morning and a lot less people than last week. I would guess around 20 people sitting outside and they had the lights on. Hopefully this is a trend toward getting back to previous sense of normalcy.

got there at 10am on monday, but was waiting for a friend so I didn't get in line till almost 11. Was in line for an hour and half till almost in the doors, then one of the HPD guys came outside and asked for our permit. he looked at my rifle and lower, filled out the form, and then told me to slip it in at the window. 5 minutes later my reg was ready. felt kind of bad cuz we pretty much skipped all the guys in front of us, but not really cuz I was there before them anyway lol.

Prolly more than you and me put together. Guy brought them in from Oregon, said he inherited the stuff from his dad.
