10:25 the line has about 30 outside the door.
Gun control means using both hands.

Monday and Friday's seem to be more busy and try to stay away from lunch time.   As for right now it might not make much of a difference.

Total wait time was from 10:05 - 12:50. 2 hours 45 minutes. The best part is that I have to go back again to pick up my permit. Then again one more time to register the gun.
Gun control means using both hands.

Definitely avoid Mondays if you can. I'd say Thursday is one of the better days from experience.

This week in general maybe a bad week. 2 holidays in 1 week, Kuhio Day tomorrow and Good Friday. HPD closed both days.

Arrived and walked in the door at. 2.58.  Locked 2 min later. 10 or 12 ahead of me.

Follow up:

About 3.30 the officers came out for those of us who were waiting to apply for permits.  He took our receipts went back and came back with all the paperwork for us to fill out.   Line was completely cleared and finished by 3.50.

hmmm, that sorta proves that if they wanted to move the line along faster, they could.

He also collected registration info from people in line (not in the inner room with the glass).  Measured barrels in the outer room.

They REALLY moved that line fast.

Remember they locked the outer doors at 3 and turned people away after that. By 3.50 they were done.
