Picked up my permit in 5 minutes when the doors opened. Someone asked for the IDs of people just there to pick up paperwork. Came back in 2 minutes. Nice n easy.

There were several people waiting in line already before the doors opened. Probably 10 total.

No line for getting a long gun permit. Took me 15 min because I had me fill out the paperwork and not use the ones I printed off, and to wait for the finger printing. Does seem to be a bit of a wait for registering guns though.

So they didn't accept the online forms?

Went there at 1230 line to the door! Packed!  Waited 20 min line did not move at all
Oh well gave up, back on Tuesday.

got there 8:45, parked in front,  had to register a long gun..only 5 people in line....I. was out of there at 9:25,I guess its a matter of timing

Nope, I showed them and they just handed me new ones they put permit numbers on. I am guess since it is new they either just didn't know or did care and just kept doing what they have forever.

got there this morning at 930 with about 12 people in front of me took just under a hour.  At 1015 there was only 2 people in line

Got down here at 11. 9 people in front of me..

Took me an hour to register a rifle, but they did take the online form that I filled out. When I asked if they accept the online form, one guy said no, and the other guy said "let's see what you got". When I gave him the form, he said "nice" - and took it in the back... so I guess it depends on who is there... I left the serial number portion blank, as well as the signature and date...


 

In line now. 5 people in front of me.. Got here @ 0830.

Arrived about 0805 today; only six people in line. End of the line by the  fingerprint station closer to the door.  Snagged parking in the HPD basement, arriving just as a guy was leaving.. (No street parking beretania until 0830)
In line for about an hour. Then another half-hour for the clerks to type up the registration form. At least a dozen people came while we were in line, but many of them were apparently just picking up permits, because a helpful cop and a female clerk took care of them fairly quickly.Four empty parking stalls in the basement when we left.

The experience was  way better than January.

Went Friday, got there a little after 2pm, no parking anywhere. Went and found spots next to the furniture store and put 1 hour and 28 minutes worth of change in the meter. One person in there and they were pretty much done. Got all my paperwork done, walked back out and still had 1 hour and 8 minutes left in the meter. First time its been like that for me.

 Got there at 12:45 finished in 20 min.

In by 1100, applied for a handgun permit and registered a long gun, out by 1130... Not too bad     The lunch rush had just started to form but the line only went to the fingerprint station...
