I used to take my dad every show. Mostly yo walk around and see people and talk story. He would almost always pick up a knife or something for his M1 Garand or 1903. He always enjoyed those.
Yeah, Dad memories are one of the best, aren't they?

I wish my sons would bring me to the gun show this weekend. Problem is, I don't have sons, I have 3 girls and their interest in guns are the same as cockroaches........they go "eeeeekkk...." and run away.

I do have 2 grandsons but they too young to even know what a gun is, lol!
I never hung out with my dad at gunshows. Strange, but we hung out at swap meets. He had a fetish for kitchen stuff. Stuff you use at large parties, stirring ladles, monster woks, stockpots the size of jet fuel tanks. Viking style butcher knives.
He was a cook in the National Guard, my unit and his were next to each other and he would look for me and stuff my rucksack with bread, apples, and other goodies to share with my squad when we were getting ready to hump the boonies.
He loved to cook. Typical Filipino man!!

Sorry.

Memories.
