It's a quote from a movie, but I can't remember which one.

Maybe this?

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

$7.5 Billion In Federal Funds Yield Only 8 EV Charging Stations
Quote
The Biden Administration’s $7.5 billion effort to jump-start the electric-vehicle charging
landscape is moving very, very slowly. Now more than two years after the program
was signed into law in late 2021, only eight chargers have been put in place.

Sounds like the same people in charge of building Hawaii's rail system are in charge of that $7.5B boondoggle.

i bet the people administering this crappy program got paid for the entire 2+ years with no personnel changes due to poor performance.

I heard EV's have no re-sale value.

So where's the "green" value to that as the junk yards start piling up.

Throw those f*ckn cars in the ocean?

It's not about the science.  it's about "THE SKY IS FALLING!!"

This is true. Had a guy selling a 2013 Nissan Leaf and wanted $1300. Dealership told him no. Craiglist had no buyers either.

Calling her a retard may not be accurate.

The crucial difference between Autism and Mental Retardation is that Autism
is a mental state which appears from early childhood, characterized by a massive
difficulty in communicating, interacting, and forming relationships with other people.
Children with Autism do not generally have decreased cognitive functioning.

In contrast, Mental Retardation (Intellectual Disability) is a neurodevelopmental
disorder characterized by intellectual and adaptive functioning affected. Mental
Retardation is an assessment of the children's cognitive functioning.

People with autism may display very high congintive funtion, whereas a mentally retarded person usually displays the opposite.
