sup fam, been a long minute.  I recently moved, and wanted to know if any one had any issues registering a gun with your paper work having a diff addy then your ID?

AFAIK, there's no residential address in/on US passports, and that is a valid form of ID for firearm permit and registration purposes.

Aside: From past observations, if you get your permit using your passport, you need to present that passport to register, too.

No logical reason why a mismatched license address would matter.  Visitors who bring a firearm to the state must also register, and they have no permanent Hawaii address.

I wouldn't sweat it.

Never had an issue with change of address.

IMO
The whole process of registration is only to harass and delay legal gun owners and deter legal gun ownership.  The LE charged with doing it doesn’t seem to much care about all the paperwork and hoops, they are just there checking boxes.  Everything is completely outdated and inconsistent. Not much use in solving any real crime unless by pure luck.

As with any gun laws that only affect legal law abiding citizens, that’s it’s purpose alone.

Nah.

I moved in 2016 but never changed/ updated my license til 2022. It expired in 2022. And damn that line was a bitch when I renewed it.

Hpd told me just to write my current address even though my license had my old address. I mustve registered 5 pistols and a couple rifles in that time frame.
