What raises the most questions in my mind about the video is how a striker reset spring could cause an uncommanded discharge… Anybody have any insight into that?

As I see it, in order for an in-holster uncommanded discharge, without trigger movement, the striker hook would have to slip off the sear AND the striker would have to jump the striker safety.  Seems REALLY unlikely…

So da range rules for a Sig P320 is to carry it unchambered and without a magazine. Insert magazine and rack the weapon when you're ready to fire. Make safe when you re-holster. Got it.

I own 2 Sigs, and the video makes me very wary of the safety of the gun(s) for concealed carry.

This is common at KHSC also, no can walk around with a hot gun.

I look at this as an isolated incident, so you will be fine.  If it was happening often then there would be way more vids about the same issue, Like the drop safe when the P320 first was released.

I saw another video on potential.  Don't know if I posted in this thread or another.  But basically (IIRC) the ledge of the striker safety or something isn't substantial, as well as the ledge is on a pivot part that has a weak spring.  Where over time/use, that can get gunked up and the ledge isn't as effective.  I'll try to find the video later, but it's something about how the P320 functions.  The guy breaks down the parts, measurements of the ledge, etc.  Pretty interesting.  Doesn't offer an opinion of why/how, but interesting breakdown on the function.

Videos being blocked by filters, but believe it's by "SIG Mechanics".  I think the video is on P320 safety features.

Did they fix the potential ledge issue?  I can see guns getting gunked up in the field for the M17/18's.
