Court documents show the victim was scared -- and didn't leave her apartment for about a week.

Sounds like typical, ordinary behavior in a pandemic world.

I have a friend who's coworker got fired and he was very upset. So upset that HPD was called and he was trespassed.  She CCW'd the next few weeks in case he came back and did a Uyesugi.  She was always on good terms with him and nice.

It's been about a month and he has a new job, so it should be OK.

hopefully you forgot the friends name and address, so you won't be facing a felony conspiracy charge
for not reporting a felony for unlicensed loaded carry in vehicle if she ever has to use her gun in public.

So she carried the unloaded gun in a locked container from her car into her workplace, where she removed and loaded it?

Didn't occur to her that he might accost her on her way into or out of the building or the parking lot?

Just curious.

I'm going to assume she transported the gun as required by HI/federal law to her work place.

Her parking is street parking, so she's unable to lock n load after parking.

Whether she gets attacked mid route, cannot be helped due to HI law.  She was more concerned about a workplace shooting (inside the building).

Nice looking lady.  Just shows that nutjobs come in all shapes, sizes, and looks.

I shared this story with a few friends. You're the 3rd guy to say pretty much the same thing.

Should save this story for when they push a bill to ban body armor, as well as for sensitive place carry on school property.

Not only that, but ballistic panels are marketed to office workers, school kids, etc. to be carried in briefcases and backpacks.  The obvious purpose is to offer at least some protection against an active shooter.

Not all civilian bullet-proof products are worn.  If they start banning chest rigs and body armor, then these other products will be caught up in the ban I'm sure.  Otherwise, people could buy backpack-style pads and add some duct tape under their clothing.   :geekdanc:
