I thought I would start this thread to let anyone that has legit status updates.   For example has the berm repair work started, any updates on RSO availability, has anything been posted regarding status (please include link) etc

Not looking for rumors, hearsay etc on this thread, let's try to stick to just the facts.   

I spoke to a rep from the parks dept last week. (I do have his name)
He said work was supposed to begin today, 10/24.
There was a conflict or problem which delayed the work.

We have aerial surveillance to monitor the situation.

No, but baby steps.  But that is a good point, if anyone has reliable info about RSOs that would be good info, I will update my OP.

I'm off this Friday, and hopefully for the next few Fridays.  Was thinking (mostly joking) about swinging by the area to see progress.  There's a good vantage point from the park next door.

I was planning on swinging by to check it out also but keep seeing folks saying it's delayed so I didn't bother.   If anyone does see work getting done that's a good update.

My buddy lives near there and sometimes takes his kids to that park.  Good "excuse" to spend time with them.  Plus test out my new range finding binos.  Haha

Leica 3200.  Ended up getting a super good deal on one.  I did a lot of research.  Hit me up if you want more info.  Seems like many brands/models have been out of stock for forever. 

I haven't had them long, and haven't tested them beyond glassing out my condo window.  From what I have seen, the glass is amazing.  At least compared to a mid-range Vortex binos, and seemingly on par with couple of my nicer rifle scopes.

Yeah.  I wasn't planning on spending that much, but EuroOptic ran a special and got it "close".  Or closer. 

Hopefully the range opens soon.  You can check it out one range day.  I took a chance and just bought it, but so far not regretting it.

I bought a Tippmann M4-22 which is a 22LR AR15 when they announced 22LR only.   It arrived 2 days ago LOL.   So I too hope the range re-opens so I can sight it in and have some fun with it.

I had not been into shooting for almost 10 years and I decided to get back into it.  Bought a HK45C and a Ruger SP101 to get back into the sport only to have them shut things down.   Honestly I think I jinxed it, LOL.

Did the same with a Taurus TX22 competition and a red dot. At least I got it to the range 1 day before they closed.

Nice gun!   I don't have any red dot pistols, I have all old school guns.  Only my rifles have red dot because I never was into rifles in the past and the rifles I bought had picatinny rails begging for red dots.
I would like to convert my HK45C to red dot but not until things open up again.   I had two visits to the range with both of my new pistols but that's really not enough. 

Let's hope they open again soon!

Awesome!  We have a bolt action .22 lr rifle thread going, but lots of folks are into .22 lr semi-auto, including precision shooting.  All fun and good to get folks to share experiences.  .22 lr rifle was one of those things I long wanted to get into, but had been distracted by other stuff. 

Stang is the local HK45 expert, or at least who I think of when comes to that gun.  Similar for Ruger SP101 and other revolvers.  Lots of love for the wheel guns here too.

on my HK's I like the DA/SA trigger.  I like the manual safety, decocker.  but to each his own.  either way they are quality pistols for sure!

In 44magnum I have a few options:  Ruger Super Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk Hunter, Redhawk, Vaquero, S&W 629, Colt Anaconda.  you could say that I love the 44 magnum!

on my HK's I like the DA/SA trigger.  I like the manual safety, decocker.  but to each his own.  either way they are quality pistols for sure!

I also like having a safety and decocker but the trigger pull is just so sweet on the LEM I decided to try it.   I have a S&W 639 and a S&W 3914 which would be my CCW if that ever happens, they both have safety and decock when safety is applied.  I am more used to that arrangement.  The 45C is mostly for the range unless I become more comfortable with it.

In 44magnum I have a few options:  Ruger Super Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk Hunter, Redhawk, Vaquero, S&W 629, Colt Anaconda.  you could say that I love the 44 magnum!   

That's one hell of a nice revolver collection!  I have a Ruger Single Six which has 22lr and 22mag cylinders you can swap.  It's crazy accurate, one of my best.  I just acquired a Ruger SP101 357mag but didn't get much range time before they closed.
