Weapons mounted rangefinder? Yea that’s been around. It seems that the rangefinder is integrated with the scope though as 1 piece.
Here’s my version, quite similar, though instead of using the rangefinder ballistics, I use a kestrel to do the solution. But the Kestrel takes the DOF from the rangefinder then gives the solution.

Very nice setup!  How do you "aim" the rangefinder?  I was thinking it would be with your scope, but how would the zeroing work?  Awesome either way.

When I get my bolt guns setup and load developed more, maybe I'll progress.  Right now, rangefinding binos (recent add) and Kestrel that can link with that rangefinder is where I'm.

The addition of this optic set up still leads me to believe that this system with the SPEAR will be a better DM type application.  So like 1 or 2 of these DM's in a squad. Treat it like a SAW, for every SAW gunner, there's 1 SPEAR gunner.

This def adds more weight (include SPEAR plus it's recoil) that makes it not optimal for room clearing.  The M4 and even a 20 inch M16 would be better.  And the  SPEAR has a 20rd mag, vs 30rds for M4/16 which more rounds in a house fight the better.

In the mountains of A-stan, yeah this would be better.  But in places like Iraq, a M4 would be better due to it being more urban.  But we left anyways so moot.

looking forward to what the next generation of integrated rangefinder/optic looks like, features.  probably smaller, faster, smarter, with better, high-res in-optic graphics, prompts.  right now, the video makes it look like pac-man level of in-optic display quality.  I want 1080p, not 144p.

The zeroing of any 1550 nm military grade type weapons mounted rangefinders ( ie. ICUGR Darley Defense, L3 Harris SPEAR, Wilcox Raptar S, Wilcox MRF, etc ) is most critical. This link explains it..
https://nvisti.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/NVDOC1401-LRF-Alignment.pdf
I went above and beyond and precisely zeroed my setup out to 2694 yrds to be exact. At dusk on a large (non-residental) white wall that I could see with VIS HP on the Rap S.

Envision is rolling out their first weapons mounted range finder. It is a 1550nm grade laser rangefinder. Though only vis laser no IR stuffs. But the good thing is the Mil/Gov version is same price as the civ version. And cheaper than any of the L3harris or Wilcox RF.

SOK did a full review of the MARS Lc (civ version). How ever they make it sound out to be, it’s still based on a 1550nm military grade RF laser.. lol
What’s also equipped in the XM-157 contracted by L3Harris also 1550nm based I believe.

Looks like FN is getting into the WMLRF game too. Military grade 1550nm LRF with LP and HP VIS and IR and ballistic solver. Much like the Raptar S (01) restricted version. Pretty much the same actually..

Article of early development of XM-157. Well instead of Leupold optics it’s now Vortex.
