My understating is the Diesel problem is mostly East coast problem.
We on the BI get our driving Diesel from Burnaby, BC Canada.
As for Power plants you Oahu guys don't give a schiff about, you shut yours down.
use your solar and wind.  That should leave lots for Barges.

Speaking of which…

On top of diesel shortages there’s also an impending railroad strike and the Mississippi is at historic lows which means barge traffic is severely limited. Things are probably going to slow down for a minute or two.
