Waikiki is Dangerous
« on: November 03, 2022, 12:07:40 AM »
We’ve always had a goblin problem, but now a gang of thugs almost beat a man to death right in front of the Waikiki Police Station and got away clean.

If HPD is going to keep jerking us around with CCW then let’s be sure to let everyone know to stay away from Waikiki because it’s too dangerous and the police are useless.

Maybe that will get their attention.

Even if they get caught, they won't be "put away."

That's just not how Hawaii "works."

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Sgt. Kim said that HPD planned to increase officers that night.

Maybe they went trick or treating?

Lately people have been attacked with hammers, knives and now a shovel.  When will our lawmakers start to protect us by requiring a permit to purchase these dangerous items.  So far I haven't heard of anybody attacked with a Taser, which was their argument as to why law abiding citizens should not be allowed to have them. Some made the same argument when they were considering legalizing pepper spray.

And given the unconstitutional, illegal BS the cops are making people go through to exercise their rights,
Ainokea carry will become even more prevalent.

What were the suggestions offered to avoid being victimized?

"Don't go out by yourself".

"Maybe go out in pairs".

If that's all people can think of to solve this increasing crime problem we're literally f**ked.

When you out, do a Floyd Mayweather and have some big mofos accompany you.

Wow.  Those are really LARGE dudes or Mayweather is a really small guy.  Almost looks like it was photoshopped.

Won't be long till your HPD will be giving that advice.
"Shall issue"  is the solution.  It won't solve all the problem,
Criminals can spot fear, but it will help out some people.
But of course Hawaii cops would rather see you dead or
incapacitated than allow you to be
an effective opponent.

Mayweather is 5'8".  His biggest bodyguard is 7'1". Couple are 6'8"  or so.  Small guy in the back is 6'3"

I have some inside information on this from several sources...

Let me just say that the 10-round magazine limit would likely put a damper on trying to defend yourself in this situation, unless of course they scatter when you start shooting. If they choose to fight instead of freeze or flee, you're gonna need several 10-round reloads to stay alive.

Q: "Why do you need more than 1/5/10 rounds?"
A: "Because although I don't know how many I'll need in a life-or-death scenario, but I do know that I don't want to not have enough."
