Not sure if that’s hardcore trolling or honest stupidity

I thought the same thing.  The Democratic Party is hardly known for smaller and efficient government.

I give you credit, you do have the minority view on this forum. Truthfully EVERY democrat politician, on the ballot in Hawaii, is anti 2A. If you voted today, you voted against the 2nd amendment, probably against Kokohead Shooting complex, and every firearm store in Hawaii.

It's 1 thing to have the minority view and another to be wrong about the view.  Lets not confuse the 2.

Mentions Pete once in this thread are rarely in other threads of recent relevance and xhe assumes there's an obsession.

Again, just because you feel/believe something, doesn't make it true.

By participating in the Democratic party you have the opportunity to influence the selection of candidates. I think most people believe in operating government efficiently for the least cost and leaving people to live in peace as long as they aren't harming others.

Going by the questionnaires the candidates were given and answered. Every Democrat was in lockstep against personal firearm ownership. If you actually believe that voters are any more than the tool(or tools) they use to get elected, so they can get their cabal the ability to collect power, I'm afraid our Republic doesn't stand a chance. Now don't get me wrong, I believe the republicans have a political power machine also, but theirs is at best a rusty old shopping cart dumped into the ala wai. The Democrats are a very powerful machine that has played a long game of slowly usurping our liberty over decades and have become a very powerful force against the people.
My ultimate hope is something along the lines of Designated Survivor. Until that moves from fiction to reality, I am forced to put my vote to the party that at least says they support some of the things I believe in. Maybe naive, but it's our last hope against tyranny.

I go disagree with just about every point he/she him/her nim/ner has made, I just respect their right to have a differing opinion, and give them credit coming here to espouse that view.

And thats why they do it and refuse to listen to evidence. People say "i give u credit for being wrong and not realizing/changing it".

I have no respect for this type of thought.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

If you're voting for Democrats expecting them to keep Second Amendment rights safe, you'll vote for Colonel Sanders promising to protect chickens' rights.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Sam Kong.
And Tracy the guy he runs against every time is Pro-2A too.
Wish they both could be in there.

Aiea represents !
Democrats for 2A rights.

If you’re really gonna try to swing this State to the Right, it’s a pipe dream.
Or Linda Lingle/Donald Trump/Joe Biden strategy. Run against some one who a shit ton of people hate.
(Lingle ran against Crazy Mazie, go figure. Political machine.)

Think local.
Don’t always have to change party vote to find an agreeable character.
And don’t have to vote Party Lines.

Most people here sound like they wouldn’t vote for a local Democrat even if he/she was the best thing since sliced bread.
I vote R. Won’t vote D. That’s how the majority in Hawaii sound. I vote D. Won’t vote R.

Democrats grip on power, both locally and nationally is very (too?) strong.

They control MSM, school boards, big business, practically everything that matters to swing the political spectrum in their favor.

Analysts are now saying Trump is the reason the republicans did so poorly in the mid-terms.  The independent voters voted democrat instead of usually voting for republican this time around.  The analysts blame Trump's involvement in the key candidates' campaigns.  The "I voted for so and so because I oppose Trump" was greater than "I voted for so and so because I oppose Biden"

Sad to say, the mid-terms was about Trump and biden.  Not about the pressing issues of rampant inflation, high prices of gas and supplies, blank checks for Ukraine, etc.

If that is true, I'd bet the MSM, DNC, and countless other social media misinformation campaigns against Trump contributed greatly to this.

It's shows an ignorance of current events and economics to believe inflation is a domestic problem. Any legislative changes would take some time to create any noticeable change. Republicans lost because the party supports Trump and Fascism. Most people are not okay with either. The Republican party is not growing it is shrinking and in the future will have less and less of a role to play.

Like I said, the democrats eat up that sh*t that the MSM and other demo-controlled media spew out of their a$$'s.

Whether people believe or don't believe inflation is not a domestic problem it still is one of the most foremost concerns on their minds.

However instilling misinformation and fear of the orange man and fascist Republican governments will sway people, especially those who lack critical thinking, something that is rare nowadays.

One thing is certain.  While the mid-terms were disappointing for Republicans, the numbers show that the US is still deeply divided and highly polarized.  Many contests were not outright routs but very close.

Go on and keep thinking that the future holds a shrinking Republican Party.  The future is relative.  How far are you thinking in the future?  The future is dictated by what the party in power does today.
