This right would place a high premium on those who are able to choose to exercise it. Having to perpetually buy ccw insurance (not required by law, but recommended) is not cheap, and the user has to be careful which policy they choose. I'm going with Massad Ayoob's choice, which is not USCCA afaik.

Whats funny is the anti's called it "murder insurance". Now they want it required.

Most people (anti-gun Liberal nut jobs) have no clue how insurance works, nor who would benefit from it if someone actually used their firearm for LEGAL self defense or defense of others.

They believe if you own a gun and use it to kill or injure someone, the victim or their relatives would get money.

Nope.  Insurance won't pay in the case of intentional criminal acts.  Otherwise, you could shoot your wife to collect the insurance.  Now, if she was threatening your life, you'd get money to hire a lawyer to defend you in court and possibly replace lost income and a confiscated firearm.

If they want everyone to have LIABILITY insurance similar to cars, take a look at how that worked out.  Uninsured and underinsured protection is now required because people are driving with no liability coverage.

Worst thing -- there's no national registry, and most states have no state gun registry.  How do you force people to buy insurance for the privilege of owning firearms?  Are you going to track ammo sales to locate unregistered & uninsured gun owners?

The entire concept of forced liability insurance for owning guns is whack.      What other Constitutional right requires insurance in case you decide to misuse or abuse it?

I think we need voter insurance.  if you elect someone like Biden, the insurance company needs to send the ones who voted for Trump a big check.

She makes good points.
Though she comes off as,  anybody carrying a gun will act like some idiot
and should be trained to not do so.
You usually learn that when you are 6 years old.
or sooner not to be some kind of idiot with real guns.
People that grew up hunting don't have problems with
most the other points she brings up. We know some of it
and are always willing to learn how to be better at killing things.

Too bad we can't legally carry guns here in Hawaii in public
unless we are hunting.  But then their government thinks we
are just kids that need strict controls.

I had not thought much about that particular pepper spray.
I'll get some.
