Under the new chiefs rules, the completed applications were submitted today. 99% sure they are the first to be submitted.

We shall see the turn around time. The rules state minimum 14 days and no maximum mentioned. IIRC BI has a max of like 120 days or something. So in theory, HPD could delay for 5 years if they wanted to. 

On a side note, another theory is to apply for a rifle or handgun permit as well at the same time. Because if they approve 1, why can't they approve the other?  If you are such a danger that you cannot carry a gun outside the home, then you shouldn't be allowed to buy one also.

Unfortunately, logical thinking is not one of their strong points.
