most of those places I've never heard of

I like Jersey Mikes
or Machete in kalihi, i think they also are in waikiki

I've tried Earl in market city.  didn't care for it much. i had the french dip.  nothing special other than it was small and was around $15 for smaller than a 6 inch sandwich.  not going there again

always looking for a good sandwich place

I'm easy to please when it comes to sandwiches and my favorite is pastrami sandwiches.

I also like Subway's meatball sandwiches and pastrami sandwiches.

My wife bought a sandwich at Jersey Mikes which wasn't their signature Philly type sandwiches.  It was so good, it had a vinegar type dressing and I believe it had turkey, ham and pastrami with a bunch of greens.  Wow, dat was broke da mout. :shaka:

I don't have a favorite place.  I eat sandwiches from all over and generally they all are good.  Like I mentioned, I'm easy to please.  Two slices of bread, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pastrami, ham, or turkey, and I am happy.

Oh yeah, if can gotta have bell peppers.  I love the crunch.

Jersey Mikes is my go to.  plus its fairly near to my house.  I like their oil/vinegar sauce too, it makes the sandwich taste great.  I like their big kahuna cheesesteak sandwich
I like subway pastrami too

I would never have gone there myself but someone got me something from Sprout that had bacon in it and it was pretty dang good.

Being raised in NJ there are many sandwich options I have explored.  Some of them can't really be compared to anything around here, it's just a world of difference.  Of course it all ends up to a person's taste as to what they consider to be the best.
Jersey mikes is fine, they are basic done right.  Andy's in Moana has a few good offerings.  There was a place in Kaneohe, Italian place that my friend picked me up a sausage and pepper i think i had tried a french dip as well, that was good.  Also had a few from other places that looked good but looks can be deceiving.
IMHO a sandwich is only as good as the bread that it is encapsulated with.  Good bread is hard to find around here but in the last few years it seems to have been getting as far as quality.

I'm a fan also.  The Bale' sandwiches are really good.  But my mouth gets tired, lol!  That bread, as good as it is, is a challenge to my jaw muscles.
