Excellent testimony by Dr. Lott! Facts the Honolulu Mayor, Police Chief and most City Council members are not wanting to hear. They only trust make believe and straw-man arguments.

A-holes like Rhoads and Lee say they oppose CCW to "protect " people from harm. Go tell that to the kupunas who got robbed and/or beaten lately. They "feel" people are going to resort to guns if they get into an argument.  When I have a CCW on me on the mainland,  I go out of my way to be polite and avoid conflict.  Knowing you have the power to end someone's life in a matter of seconds gives me and 99% of legal CCW holders great restraint, more so than cops. Those A-holes don't realize or believe that because they themselves don't have it.

Robert Heinlein said it best. “…an armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life...”
