Imagine the scanners we don't know about.

Breakdown:

Woman goes from NJ to NYC to see a performance with her daughters girl scout troop.

Her law firm she works for in NJ is suing the owners of the venue for another business that they own, unrelated to the performance.  She is not involved in this lawsuit.

Security approaches her immediately and asked to confirm her name, even though they already knew it.  Then asked her to leave.

She waited outside until the performance was over.

It's the venues/owners policy to have no one who's involved with a lawsuit against them to be in the theater.

So if a theater in NYC has this tech that's this fast, imagine what other places have...#noteverythingistinfoil

When you buy tickets, i imagine you would use a credit card online in most cases.  They already have your name.

The theater can then check if your name appears in the employee rosters for any law firms they are engaged with.

Then they can obtain any info from the law firm's website, LinkedIn profiles, FB, Twitter, etc. to grab a photo.

When you get scanned, facial recognition already has what it needs to flag you.

I highly doubt they had access to a digital library of photos they can run a recognition scan on for matches in a few seconds, like the DMV database.  She had to be on some "watch list" to get identified that quickly.

This is NY, so I might be wrong, but it sounds unlikely they are identifying everyone that walks in.  Scan everyone, but  only pull info on the ones matching the list.

I'm in so many data bases it disgusts me.
taxpayer, VA service connected disabled, Hawaii property
owner, academic and technical papers, et al.
What disturbs me is the use of the Technologies, I helped create
being used to limit peoples freedoms.
Woman was wrong for not grabbing her kid, saying fuk you
 and leaving.
However she made the mistake of dealing with the enemy to begin with.

First, government has always found ways to abuse technology beyond its original intent.  History is rife with examples.  No reason to think if something can be used against the people, our leaders won't devise a way to use it.  Social Media comes to mind.

Second, while i agree with you from an individual perspective, as a parent i agree with the decision to stay.  No sense in punishing the daughter and the scout troop for her being refused entry.  She acted selflessly, which most Liberals would not do.  They would be standing on furniture screaming about their rights until the cops dragged them out.   :shake:

JMHO   :shaka:

I do wonder, if it's true the law firm was informed of the ban, why she did book her ticket?  Did her firm not inform their employees, hoping for another situation they could use to their advantage?  Maybe they just dropped the ball and failed to send out notices?  Maybe the troop took up the money from parents and did a group buy at a discount and/or for convenience to the scout's parents?

I'm assuming there was a ticket purchase involved, but I might be wrong.  If they did sell her a ticket knowing who she was and that she was not going to be admitted, the theater also has some blame for causing the situation.

Lots of questions.  Be nice to get some answers so we know who the real culprits are.  I'm reluctant to give the law firm the benefit of the doubt, because ..... lawyers.

Or simply a list from the attending troops of the girls and the adult leaders and guests accompanying/chaperoning the girls.
