No, I don't mind announcing on this forum if I do decide to apply for a CCW license and end up getting one.

My comment was more aimed at the public level.  I as a 2a supporter and owner of firearms is a rarity among my family and friends.  Most of them would be the "f**kn Karens" I'm talking about.
Same here. There are many that think similarly and are in similar situation in terms of family awareness and even acceptance. All of my close friends know I am a gun nut and many shoot as well. You met a couple at one of the range days.  I can say through range days, I’ve seen support with 2a with friends and family grow through many of my friends.

Back to topic. I know of a bunch of folks going through the process of getting the required credentials per HPD’s requirements. So only a matter of time until more and more folks and groups offering the “stuff” being required from HPD for CCW.  Until then, my invitation for range time stands.

I enjoyed the range days and spending time with like minded people.  I liked that I could relax and just practice amongst fellow gun enthusiasts.

When I was working we had several gun enthusiasts, some were hunters and some just liked to shoot and train.  We enjoyed talking shop with each other.

My best friend is a downright anti-2a gun hater.  Although I love him dearly as a friend I'm very careful when our conversations drift toward gun politics.  But because of our mutual respect for each other he doesn't get all "Karen" with me and respects me as a gun owner and 2a supporter.

My family is a different story.  My immediate family (wife and kids) are the only ones in our extended Ohana that knows about me owning firearms and respects my request to not share this information with others.  My wife and kids don't share the same love for firearms as I do, unfortunately.

When it comes to firearms ownership, I personally feel less is better.  Meaning the less people know, the better it is for everyone concerned.  Our society has become very polarized on this subject.

This is why I enjoy being at the range or participating in range days.  We are among like minded people. :shaka: ;D

Being one of the more libertarian guys here I generally don't like public ranges.  I prefer private and more informal settings.
Granted not everyone like me lives out in the middle of nowhere where such freedoms can be more easily practiced,
despite what the government dictates.
I have a property close to me where there is occasionally fully automatic weapons fired. Normal firing otherwise.
Do I call cops? No.
Public ranges suck because the rules are antithetical to friends having a good time, but they are essential for the safety
of a bunch of strangers wanting to shoot.
Just my opinion.
I don't like shooting with strangers. As a rule I do not.

Where and with who did y’all do the range portion? I did the paperwork and applied before any approvals, but got busy and stalled out when I saw no one was approved for teaching/testing for the range portion.

Dog can't have guns (felon).

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.

Y'all know you can get that rescinded.
I helped a felon get his gun rights back.

That as of today would be way more than that 1 ccw signed.

I had a convo with my dad and I mentioned what happened and that Logan is showing is corruption.  He denied it and said " He has to keep both sides happy, cause no matter what he does (approving CCW), he gets it from either side".  I explained the law and rules are clear.  Logan has no choice and can always state that which takes it out of his hands (forced to approve CCD)  and that UIPA request were completed to show dates of when stuff was submitted.  There is only 1 reason to delay the issuing of CCW to that first group of 6 people who submitted under the new rules.  He didn't see it like that and referred back to his statement above.

The first group of new CCW apps were submitted about a week before the only person who Logan has approved.  Why is that?  Are all 6 apps missing info or on it's way to be denied?  The approvals should be a FIFO.  The delay is intentional, thus corruption.

A lot of people have the “auto response” chip soldered into their CPU to keep them from thinking unapproved thoughts. It used to frustrate me but taking a step back now we know what the last hours of Atlantean civilization must have felt like.
