Assault Pistol and Pistol Magazine Ban Case Next Week?
« on: January 20, 2023, 12:46:50 PM »
Is anybody local tracking this case? https://gunrightsfoundation.org/awb-mag/hawaii-assault-pistol-and-magazine-ban-lawsuit/

It looks like it is going to court next week:

I wonder if this helps the magazine ban being proposed in the 2023 legislature since there is currently litigation pending.

I saw they already introduced the mag ban bill in this session.  Haven’t seen one for an “assault” weapons ban yet though.  Fingers crossed.  Hopefully all the push back from the shlt show in Illinois cause them to reconsider and hold off.

It's a scheduling conference where they will discuss the timeline for the case.  Trail is most likely going to be sometime in 2024, but the judge could rule on summary judgement prior to that.

1st hearing was this past friday. HI is using the same arugment that DE used. Violating scotus and using public safety reasoning.

Violating heller for "in commmon use" by limiting both AP and mags to self defense use only. Not total ownership.

Judge seems anti 2a. Lets see if he obeys.

So all anti 2a states are working together. See reference to my donation link for hifico mag lawsuit.

Hawaii doesn;t pay attention to the US Constitution.
Y'all let people like Rhodes and your non-elected police cheifs
run rough shod over your rights
and you don't do anything about it.
 :wtf:
I'm done with you.

Conspiracy?  No.  Nothing secret about it.

Collaboration?  Yes.

Does any of this surprise you…?

This was stayed pending the CA Duncan lawsuit.
