Gov Green's ban on public places

Remember when #immadoctor said he got good lawyers...
https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2023/01/28/gun-advocates-call-greens-statewide-gun-control-plan-an-overreach/

Gov. Josh Green has unveiled a new statewide gun control plan that would designate specific firearm-free zones.

Gun advocates say the proposal is government overreach.

Attorney General Anne Lopez told Hawaii News Now that House Bill 984 is intended to ensure Hawaii law is consistent with a recent Supreme Court decision. In the so-called Bruen decision, the Supreme Court overturned broad state restrictions on carrying guns in public. Now Green and other lawmakers are trying to create more protections ― for specific places.

The measure would bans guns in “sensitive places,” including schools, government buildings, libraries, parks, eateries and bars with alcohol, and public transportation. It would also require mandatory insurance coverage and there are felony penalties.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would question if criminals would follow the law...

Let's Go George!

How about a ban on making side money while serving in leadership positions? Let's see the tax filings!

You'd think a doctor would know somebody who can help with those bags under his eyes.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

All this BS is why I feel that at the present time, why even bother to get a permit, especially on the BI.
There are other alternatives which I won’t go into.

When guys like Josh Green tell people what to do but nobody listens, how much power does he really have?
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

I can at times be considered acerbic, but you are right on!

I'm pretty sure most of us aren't.

I'm trying to be optimistic and I hope we at least are in a "2 steps forward, 1 step back" scenario where at least there is progress albeit a very slow one.

Governor Greed and the goons at City Hall would rather see a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" scenario.
Or worse yet a complete backpedaling of the SCOTUS Bruen decision. :grrr:

Since we are a "BLUE" state, the Gov is doing what the Blue people do.  It will most likely take a "lawsuit" to convince them otherwise.  The REAL issue here is he is an ER Dr.  He might or might now have seen Gun Related issues with patients.  Nevertheless, whether you are a "JUDGE", GOVERNOR or ANY/All Politician, they are suppose to come with an "OPEN" mind.  But then again, it's really "POLITICS" at it's BEST!  BTW don't they swear to uphold the Constitution of the United State of America?  Hmmm

Aloha!
