House Democrats proposed legislation this week that would give more than 2 million federal workers an 8.7% pay raise in 2024, a raise they say is needed because they suffered through both the COVID pandemic and the Trump administration.

"For years now, federal employees have risked their health and safety working on the frontlines of this pandemic," said Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., who sponsored the bill. "They were subjected to the Trump Administration’s cruel personal attacks, unsafe work environments, pay freezes, government shutdowns, sequestration cuts, furloughs, and mindless across-the-board hiring freezes."

How about we layoff  50% of non-DOD workers and give a 10% raise to our soldiers.

The justification is political BS.

The real reason is because Biden's economic policies created massive inflation, so a piddly cost of living increase isn't keeping up with those costs.

Senator Shitz (and giggles) was never initially elected into office.  He was appointed.  Then this sh*t head got elected forever after by sheeple that just look at the "D" in front of his good for sh*t name.

This guy would be working at Burger King or similar if he wasn't initially appointed.

Of course he did win a special election in 2014.  Back then the demokrat sheeple had to choose between sh*t or hanabutta.  Both were pretty slimy (if you know what I mean..... ::))

I guess the sh*t won.
