That's a fun and low round count exercise/drill.  I think decent test of proficiency.  The IDPA head box is quite generous compared to the USPSA/IPSC target. 

I recently picked up a bunch of 1/2 size USPSA targets.

now that i'm going to indoor range, I'm practicing some things that i didn't do much of before. 
you pay a lot at the indoor range, but get to practice different skills
I can't do everything on these videos but kind of modify to what i can do within 1 lane the best i can until kokohead re-opens
last time i was at the range last week, i overheard a new guy to range kind of whining about how expensive it is, but unless you have AG land to shoot on, right now you gotta pay to play  ;)

There are quite a few who have videos on ideas/guidance for indoor range training.  Pretty interesting.  I've also asked if when I go and it's empty, can setup multiple targets.  I also shoot with a timer often, and tougher indoors.  Last trip, I was listening to when the guys in another bay sent slide foward, then waited for a pause in their shooting to shoot.  Sometimes not though.  ;D

This looks like fun.  When bay's open, I will try this after mag dumping.  And we do have a shot timer now and I know how to use it. Instruction manual doesn't help at all.  GOtta YT it.
