i don't dislike puppets as long as the people pulling the strings are keeping faith with the values of the country as designed.

it's the power hungry who can't seize power on their own and who serve only their own interests who make dangerous puppet masters.

Obama is a perfect example of both a puppet and puppeteer.

Logan is a weak puppet
Chief of police should have balls of steel. Instead, Logan has boba balls. Like boba tea. Soft. SAWFT, soft!!!
He does not instill confidence. Not at all
If I were a cop, I would question everything he says and everything he does. He's not a leader. I have more confidence in Ernie and Bert and Big Bird than I do in Mr. Logan
Sesame street wouldn't even follow this wussy
Every time he comes on tv, he merely reads off a paper that someone else wrote for him
He's a joke

Well, a good puppet wouldn't have balls or a spine, right?

Again, if the people pulling the strings followed the Constitution and protected our rights, seeing a lower leverl puppet would not be a problem.

I’m getting the same impression. Spokesmuppet.

Basically Logan is following his boss's agenda.

Before he was implementing Hawaii's may issue laws.

Now he is following the new strategy.  Circumvent the SCOTUS ruling on the Bruen case.

Yeah.  He is a puppet.  In line with what he is expected to do in order to get the position of Chief of Police.

Mavericks are not welcome in HPD, the City, and in the State of Hawaii.

So anyway this morning on HNN they mentioned that so far 38 CCW licenses were issued out of more than 800 applications so far.

Why is the process so long, I pondered. ()

Then it dawned on me.  They are "waiting" for all the anti-2a Bills to be eventually not possibly, passed in the State and City.

Then our puppet Logan will issue the permits more freely, knowing that there is essentially no place a CCW holder will be able to carry his weapon legally.

He just issued those 38 licenses just so he can say he is complying by the decision, even though it was at a pace that would make a snail look like a rabbit.

What really made me shake my head was when Logan was asked and he responded that there has been no knowledge of any incidents regarding a CCW holder to date.

You see?  It's only been a couple of months and already HPD, the State, the City, and even the f**kn media regard law abiding citizens that has been vetted (who knows how many f**kn times) as potential criminals.

Understaffed DPP can get violations (including all property and owner info) out in days.
Understaffed DOH can get violations (including all property, business and owner info) out in days.

Which means in the past 3 weeks since the Bill 57 hearing, only 8 CCWs are issued.  So the average is about 13 a month or 3 a week.

Let’s do the math. 800 apps, 13 per month processed. 5.12 years for last man to get his. Not bad, not bad. More like F'ING PATHETIC.

Did they clarify how the renewal process will go or is that pending the bills in process now?  Only because if it’s taking 90 days to approve and they don’t extend the time beyond annual licenses, man…

No process in the bills. Just more requirements.

NV has a 120day max in their law. HI has no max time.

IMO Logan is delaying because less people to sue HI later.

It will be very interesting to see how this all pans out. Considering most people qualified with more than 1 gun that current figure of 38 should be divided by 2 which means roughly 20 applicants of the 800 were issued permits.

38 out of 800. What is taking them so long?

I turned my application in a few weeks ago. I guess I'll be waiting a while.

Laws pass April/May effective immediately. Outter islands implement immediately. Oahu maybe will go back through chief rules process bc they want to waste time. All currently completed applications will be void because new written tests will require testing on Sensitive Places. All marksmanship tests will expired and not grandfathered in.

Next year CC will use Kokohead fiasco to heavily regulate outdoor ranges and make outdoor ranges on private property impossible to maintain. This this will leave indoor ranges as only option to qualify.  Then the legislature with police chiefs will revamp marksmanship test to include 4 shots at 30 + yards. This will ensure noone can qualify at indoor ranges.

At that point, I will be looking for investors for my Bunny Ranch, Sema Car Show, Luau Package full service Hawaii CCW qualification business in Vegas.   Bang Bang and Away We Go (copywrite/trademark). Anyways, we should be really talking about type 2 holsters.

Going be more awesome when the AGs subpoena usernames and email addresses on this site.

When there were 600 apps, Logan said some are for 2 guns so the real person total is about 400.
