Transportation Secretary Booty-Jege announced he'd also be going there after Trump's trip was made public, but he couldn't offer a specific timeframe.

Trump is donating water and supplies to the residents affected.

I can't understand how anyone could prefer Biden over Trump, or Democrats over Republicans.

In the TimCast video, he stated E. Palestine leaders already claim that if Booty-jege is there the same time as Trump, they will only have time to meet with Trump.  Booty can reschedule for later -- not like it's an emergency or anything.

The View already spewed the WH narrative that the derailment is Trump's fault.  Trump's deregulation apparently created a dangerous situation that over the course of 2 years resulted in this toxic spill.

Never mind the fact there have been over a dozen derailments since the beginning of the year (this was written 2/13, so barely 1-1/2 months into 2023).  most derailments from my reading are caused by track problems.

The NTSB preliminary report differs from the anti-Trump narrative.  They said the axle bearings on a car overheated.  Sounds like this happened a few times on that car.  The first 2-3 times the alarm sounded, they slowed the train to reduce the heat.  This last time, they tried doing that again, but the axle heat caused failure and a fire before they could stop the 1.7-mile, 141-car train (or as many as 150, depending on the source).  Some reports show the train was ON FIRE FOR 20 MILES before derailing.  There were 38 cars derailed.  About 20 cars carried hazardous/toxic/volatile chemicals, and 11 of those were part of the 38 cars derailed.

Nothing deregulation would have caused.  Besides, Biden's had over 2 years to reverse any dangerous actions taken under Trump.  Yet, he did nothing.  Must not have been viewed as an issue.  More important to force kids to allow trans students into the girl's locker rooms and force schools to let biological males compete in girl's sports.

It's easy to toss around accusations and talking points.  Where's the evidence?

Do you know what the biggest concern is?  Vinyl chloride.  It's the stuff that was getting too hot and had to be vented and burned off to avoid a potential explosion.

Do you know the primary purpose of Vinyl chloride?  It's a precursor for the production of PVC which is very stable, storable and non-toxic.

Do I need to explain all the wonderful products made from PVC?  Do some research.

Please identify the chemicals involved in the derailment and how their legitimate uses harm the environment.

Are you advocating we no longer transport chemicals needed to produce certain compounds, materials and other products?  If so, what is your plan to stop using them?
