BNR Tactical FFL transfers
« on: March 17, 2023, 12:30:13 PM »
Anybody had a firearm, specifically, a long gun shipped/transferred to BNR Tactical, and did not receive a "high-capacity" (+10 rounds) magazine? I spoke with Budsgunshop and they said my order was supposed to have the magazine. This is the second time I had a long gun transfer have a magazine "missing."  ??? ??? ???

Ron and Brent do not seem like the kind of guys who are gonna steal a mag.  That’s just my opinion.  Have you tried asking them directly?

Depends on the type of long gun and the policies of both the seller & your local FFL.  Did BNR Tactical tell you the mag/s was/were not received with the firearm?

Did Bud's offer to ship your missing mag/s?

I buy stuff locally from different places and the mag is missing when I open the box at home. Don’t know why but it always happens. Just call them and ask for it.

Does the box it came in say which mag it comes with? I questioned a local shop once that I thought the rifle comes with a 30rd mag but they said not all the time. The box it came in said it comes with a 10 round mag.

I was only told when the it did not come with a magazine when I went down to the shop. BNR said Buds, Midway, and Optic Planet don't ship mags with greater than 10-round capacity, but when I had a SCAR 16 from Buds transferred to HGS I got the 30-round magazine with it. Buds offered me a $30 coupon or a TEAM BUDS year-long membership, I took the membership and they said they will contact the manufacturer to get a magazine shipped to me.

Glad to hear Bud's is taking care of the issue.  Finding good customer service is getting more and more difficult.

You can't base what's happening now on your prior experiences.  With all the attention hi-cap/standard mags have been given, and the number of states trying to limit capacities through legislation, retailers are trying to hit a moving target.  What they did a month ago might be the complete opposite today.

I've dealt one retailer who canceled an order for 30rd mags after I just received an order the same month.  I was able to convince them the mags were legal for that order, but the next time, they flat out refused to ship to Hawaii no matter how hard I tried to explain the law.
