By Levana Loma:

Hawaii is one of 20 other states passing bills like this to amend the UCC. These amendments will redefine "money" to include "electronic money." This is laying the groundwork for central bank digital currency (CBDC)! If the dollar becomes digital, your money will NO Longer Belong to YOU; it will belong to the federal government. This will open the doorway to tyranny allowing every transaction we make to be surveilled by the fed government. Our rights and our privacy are at stake.

Oppose TODAY!

Interesting how Awa is pro rights and against big government, but he voted to support this?  Has he said why?  Like when he voted to support the Pakalolo bill, he first didn't support it because it only allowed big companies to grow it.  But he had to support it in the end or the bill would have died and no changes could have been made.

Awa has been a solid 2a supporter this year. He voted no for every anti 2a bill.

Thanks for finding this. I knew it was out there.

I don’t think he voted for this? He posted a video on instagram saying he would vote no.

I would certainly hope not. This is THE litmus test for those who believe in a free society.

Anyone who supports it has either chosen to stand with tyranny or is too clueless to know what's going on and shouldn't be in office anyway.

On 3/15 he was 1 of 4 who voted aye.  But maybe he did it to give it a chance to change knowing he has another chance later. YOu are correct, that he posted on IG against it now.

Awa only no vote.

*UPDATE*

Since HB525 passed the Senate JDC Committee, it will go to the Senate floor for a vote.  You are encouraged to contact your own district Senator and request that she/he oppose the bill.

Senate directory:

Apparently there were 452 testimonies opposing the bill and 2 in support.

You can read testimonies on the link below to get a perspective of the reasons for opposition.  There also is a document after a testimony with definitions of terms used in the bill.
