Each time he was impeached, his popularity skyrocketed. 

I guarantee he'll not see the inside of a jail cell.  If Biden (or his predecessor, if the trial takes years) doesn't pardon him, I'll be shocked.  No sitting president is going to let a former president be incarcerated for a blue collar crime.  if you don't believe me, look at what President Gerald Ford did after 6 months in office.

That's my prediction.  This is a bogus trial meant to keep him out of office.  Period.  If he'd announced he's not running, nobody would be trying to file any charges.

Congress is already asking for the DA's evidence against Trump to investigate whether or not this is just a continuation of the weaponizing of government against the democrat's political opponents.

30 counts? That is a lot more than just the combination they were trying to fenagle to get the felony for the Stormy Daniels thing. That charge seemed pretty darn weak but I don't know all the details. All I know is they better have a good case and this better not be a political thing. If Trump truly did these crimes then bring him to justice at any cost but if this is a nothingburger then the damage will be terrible.

I agree with this whataboutism.  The docs are currently sealed, so the media is speculating.  And with their current speculation, it would be a nothing burger.  2 other times they tried to get Trump on this and there wasn't enough evidence of a crime committed.  Letter from Stormy saying she never had an affair and is stating so not under a NDA.  And letter from Cohen saying he chose to pay her and never got reimbursed.  With these 2 keys, the other 2 attempts fell short.

But what I do disagree with you about is that "this better not be a political thing".  This is 100% political. Esp when the DA said that he's making it a priority to go after Trump.  This alone should cause zero indictments as he is no longer neutral.

There will be zero damage from this nothing burger to the left.  Like Russia, the media will cover for them and sweep it under the rug.  It can only strengthen support from those who already don't trust the fake news.  TDS'ers won't learn or change their minds.

Cohen went to prison and the court case revealed proof the Cohen performed this action at the direction of Trump. You can't direct someone to commit a crime, have them go to prison, and expect not to have consequences. It's not political. Just wait for the other indictments to follow. Should be interesting.

What was Cohen charged and convicted of?

Also, what did Cohen tell investigators about the payment to Daniels?

Lastly, Cohen illegally recorded all conversations with his clients.  Why were there never any conversations with Trump or anyone associated with Trump regarding this matter?

Cohen is an affirmed liar.  He under-reported his taxable income by about $5M, he lied about paying for Daniel's silence, and he sent statements to the Trump organization for legal fees every month to get paid back the money he'd used -- which he fraudulently obtained using a Home Equity Line of credit.  And this is the man you choose to believe.
