Other articles stated that there are no cases linked to his friend.  Not yet anyways until they create 1.

"youre a GOP and theres a 2A case pending, thus u bribed the judge."

New updates are now indicating that Thomas did hear a case where Harlan Crow, Thomas' generous friend, was a party to the case. Thomas did not recuse himself in that case. According to the article, it is not certain whether Thomas knew Crow was a party to the case or not. That is a bit troublesome.

But not impeachment level troublesome...?

The topic is about impeachment, which if followed through to a verdict, ought to include expulsion as a punishment.

If not, then the impeachment was not serious.  it was an unwarranted waste of tax payer money and resources -- nothing more than a political attack.

Fair enough
I don't want to offer any opinion on whether he should be impeached or not because I don't know enough to say whether I think there is a good cause to remove him from his position.

My comments about integrity should be viewed as a separate but parallel aspect of this case because not all instances of lack of integrity in government leaders amount to a crime but should still be condemned

Potentially. If there was any evidence Thomas knew Crow was party to the case then I would lean that way.

From the LA Times, that bastion of Conservative values:

Quote
Since 1978, the Ethics in Government Act has required judges and justices to
report travel costs and other expenses that are provided to them by groups,
universities and other such entities. However, it includes an exception for the
“personal hospitality of any individual,” so long as the travel does not involve
official business.

“Justice Thomas and Ginni never asked for any of this hospitality,” Crow said
in a statement to ProPublica. He added that we “never asked about a pending
or lower court case, and Justice Thomas has never discussed one.”

I'm sure they only discussed golf and grandkids.

Isn't it obvious that nobody here gives a damn about ethical behavior?

So you agree and state that you "don't give a damn about ethical behavior".

Parroting you

Show me where I even once said anything close to not giving "a damn about ethical behavior."

It irks me when someone purports to quote a source but doesn't offer readers the smallest courtesy of posting the link for that source.

I imagine it's because they are quoting from memory.  If they can't remember where they found the article and can't bother to Google it, how are we supposed to trust that they remembered the facts of that article accurately?

We all know your question is rhetorical as xhe doesn't reply when asked for proof.

Posting an opinion is one thing.  Insults and personal attacks are not opinions.

It's obvious RHAYDER has nothing intelligent to say, nor can xhe come up with effective counter arguments.

So, xhe resorts to bullying and false accusations.

Typical troll behavior -- although extremely low quality trolling.  My cat trolls better.
