Anyone with a CCW permit tried qualing and applying with a second pistol? If so, do you get it right then and there or do we wait another 4 or more months for another CCW permit?

Problem is that the plaintiff’s will be given their licenses quickly since this suit is out. Then the court will have no choice but to moot the case. Leaving no real relief for everyone else. And leaving the court costs having to be paid by the plaintiffs.  They should challenge the license requirement in it self as unconstitutional.  No other RIGHT requires payment and license to exercise.

Maybe they don't got as good of a atty like how HIFICO does?

This happened with Tasers (Roberts vs. Shikada (AG at the time). HI changed the law which basically made the lawsuit moot, even though it was pending for 6 years or so.  Atty awarded like $300 due to it being a civil liberty suit or something.

State has protections where the can change the law and moot things.  Counties don't have that.

Would it matter?

"Short staff".

I mean it must take very long for 1 person to enter ur name, social, dob in their system. Then fax medical waiver to the right carriers. Maybe even a court connect (ekokua) type system to see any pending court cases (TRO, indictments)

Their system should be immediate response and so is any court system. Med is given up to 10 days as a no reply is an automatic approval.

So it should take 11 days for someone to get their letter mailed. Then another 2-3 days for the mail to arrive. I mean unless they are re typing all letters and its not just a fill in your name blank.

I got 2. Had to fill out a whole new application and wait another 30 days. Big Island.  The second license says Concealed carry only in red letters. My first one doesn’t say concealed or open.  Maybe that means I can open carry too 🤷🏼‍♂️, or maybe they just forgot to put concealed only.  When I applied there was no option to select concealed or open.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago, after 99 days from submitting my docs.  2 separate licenses for 2 CCW handguns. Had a couple of hiccups along the way, minor typos by them that required me to go down there in person.

HI knows how to make a lawsuit moot. Unless someone is willing to donate $50K for a lawsuit, this won't be happening anytime soon.
