He should go away.

Why do you believe that?

If the sources are accurate, Tucker is still on contract at Fox.  There will have to be a negotiation for his departure.  I'm sure he's going to be well compensated for the network to break the contract like they did.  They will probably pay out the remainder of his contract (pay without having to work for it -- Oh! the poor guy!), plus I'm sure all his benefits & perks have monetary values that will have to also be included in the buy-out.

He said he had no clue this was about to happen.  He was called and told not to show up from that day forward, and he was locked out of his email.  He would not be appearing on any Fox shows, and that was that.  The cherry on top is that he was never given a reason for their actions -- none whatsoever.

While still officially a Fox employee, he won't yet be able to start up any new endeavors like podcasts or satellite radio shows.  What that means is, don't look for him again in the immediate future.  He'll be back when he's able.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a publicity stunt.
Nowadays it seems like everything that pops up on my web browser is a publicity stunt aka clickbait.
Now, more than ever, it's time to turn on your internal crap detectors.
ie. do a quick analysis of the topic or headline before you click on it.

It's not.  It was days after Fox had to settle for over $700M with Dominion Voting Machines.  It wouldn't surprise me if the settlement also included the dismissal of Tucker, who routinely had a higher viewer rating than CNN and MSNBC combined.

This past week, Tucker's previous time slot came in with ratings BELOW both CNN and MSNBC individually!

Someone is either leveling the playing field so Fox isn't killing the competition week after week, or they decided they can't pay their top earners going forward and still afford the rest of their hosts.  I've had it happen to me several times.  Get rid of or transfer the top salary earner, and you have enough funding for 2 or more other employees.  Longevity can have its downside.
